What do you do if you fail to follow your trading plan?

I think a check list goes a long way.Create a clear check list of your entry rules and once you're ready to open a trade, double check that your entire check list is complete - if not, you have no reason to enter the trade, no matter how "sure" you are. This has helped me to get rid of the psychological factor. Haven't found a better way to do this. If you have better ideas, let me know 😄

I think it's gonna go higher - it has failed to break the low @1.30120 and the next resistance is somewhere around 1.3150. I'm buying half a position just in case it keeps climbing up so I won't miss it.
Is compounding necessary?

I agree. There's no point to compound 100% as you're compounding risk along with returns. I would average it - compound 50% of the profits only - that way you'll average out the best method without having to worry what method is better.Important to note that compounding should be used only after your trading system proves its effectiveness.

You're either the broker or trying to collect IB fees - either way it's spam.

That's incorrect. If you buy 1 standard lot and get charged $6, for EURUSD for example that is the equivalent of 0.6 pips.

This is probably the worst question to ask here where there are thousands of traders trying to find investors, so don't expect to actually get a straight answer 😉.

Hope your system will be as profitable with the live account as with the demo - this is the most crucial step for testing your system in my opinion.
Is Trading Hard For You?

ChallengeFX, that is an excellent view on things.I often move from stage 3 to stage 2 and vice versa - this is a never ending vicious cycle which I can't seem to be able to break.Waiting for stage 3 to trade a real money account is quite hard - you often find something that may appear as an edge and then the psychological factor kicks in - you quickly fund a real account and trade it away... moreover, stage 3 often proves stage 2 to be wrong.

Price is in a tight range so its definitely going to explode once it's moving. Maybe we'll see some movements with the Leading Indicator report and Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Survey

Yes, that actually helps a lot. Looks like you're very knowledgeable of fundamental analysis - I've never tried to understand it as it just looks so complicated - your posts proves my point 😄Kidding aside, what other metals do you think are valuable? And when you're saying it will always go up in price - what timeframe are you talking about here? As it can definitely go down in a 6 months timeframe for example.

Issue arises when the broker stops losing his so called 'bets' and plays dirty to get the losses back and some more.

You can buy an MT4 server for $100k, set up a fake broker website and edit the trading record as you wish - this is actually not a flaw of MyFxBook but of MetaQuotes - they don't care who they sell their software to and how it is used as long as they cash in on the way.

First possibility the broker is a bucketshop (dealing desk) and all your trades never get to the interbank and are counter traded by the broker - they win when you lose and vice versa. This is why the broker will do anything to make you lose either by misquoting you, hitting your stop/orders or interrupting your access to the trading platform.Second possibility the broker is a true ECN/NDD/STP broker and they make money only on the spreads/commissions - they don't care if you make money or lose money, then only care about the volume of trades - the more often and large the trades are, the ...

That's good advice. aj, I think you're looking at the wrong thing at this time - as long as you don't have a winning system, tweaks of money management won't have such an enormous effect on your profitability as you might think of (unless of course you don't have a money management plan in the first place) - only after you find your successful trading system, tweaking the best risk:reward ratios and so on would help you to fine tune it.Just my 2c.

I think that's too much of a risk per trade. You shouldn't risk anymore than 5% of your account in one trade. Obviously, you can have a constant stop loss of 16 pips, so the lot size would have to be adjusted according to the required stop loss, so the loss won't be over 5% of your account's balance in case it happens.
