Yes, I was doing exactly the same thing in the beginning. But you will see it won't last long because you will get used to it 😁 It's nice when you set the candles in your favorite colors

I still have that problem after years of trading and I haven't figured out how to fix it beyond trying to open as short-term positions as I can so I don't stay stuck to the screen all day, or, worse, all night long. 😕

Funny you mention that. I make my candles red and gold for my favorite teams colors.
@ReignFX - sorry for asking - which are your favorite teams and in what sport? I am just curious as you said one of the colors is 'gold' 😀

Does anyone else have the problem of not being able to look away from an open trade? I often find myself in a daze just watching candles for hours. IDK why it's so intriguing for me, but I just can't look away.

If you can't look away from your open trades then in my opinion there can be any one of the 3 reasons:
1.You are trading just because you love to trade and make money in each and every trade, but you don't have a trading plan for entry and exit .It is dangerous for live account trading
2.Or your trading plan requires you to monitor the trades to check the trade exit conditions. In this case, you need to monitor.
3.Or you are trying to learn, experience and develop new trading systems by watching the candlesticks. This is the learning phase which can be used during demo trading.

Don’t worry; you are not alone! This is one of the most common issue for the new traders! Eventually everything will be fine!

Someone recently advised me to make the bullish and bearish candles almost the same colour too - or even the same colour - so they wouldn't stress me out as much. I am testing that theory at the moment and I think it works, at least partially.
