please help

what is your opinion regarding the prizes given at a Daily (later we can discuss for a weekly or monthly) demo contest? what would be in your opinion a nice and attractive distributed prize list? lets say prizes for the first 50 winners?

I will give You my idea of attractive pricing and please give me your opinion.

1st = $2000
2nd = $1000
3rd = $ 500
4th = $ 250
5th = $ 100

6th -10th = $ 50
11th-50th = $ 20

thank You very much for Your opinion, very much appreciated. daily contests are planned 4-5 times a week. plus 4 weekly and 1 monthly.
as You think that my pricing sample would be a good monthly pricing, how would you see the daily price table. could You give me an example please?

hi...
scheint ja nicht gerade auf viel Interesse zu stossen...
Du hast keinen Account, macht mich neugierig worauf deine Umfrage hinausläuft....

easiest thing would be to split Monthly amounts.....
for daily take 1/20th because of 20 Trading Days/Month
and 1/4 for weekly......

Hello Dirk

thanks again for the answer. each answer and input is helping me 😄

I try to answer like Q&A so readers will understand Your questions.

Dirk is asking: 'You have no account here so why are those questions?'

the reason is that we will come out soon with a new forex demo contest website and I am the CMO. so I thought it would be very interesting to know what contest participants think about the prizes.

Dirk is asking: ' in general I dont be a fan of contests because many traders are treating it like gambling by trading with many lots and going always ALL IN.'

I agree with You and therefore we should have another discussion what rules would be fair for all traders. we are discussing this problem right now in house.

thank You for the questions

hi Dirk

interesting idea. ok lets try an example. I will start with a nice daily pricing and then do the maths as proposed.

for Daily = all in all a $3k payout could look like this
1st = $1000
2nd =$ 500
3rd = $ 250
4th = $ 100
5th = $ 100

6th -10th = $ 50
11th-50th = $ 20

for a weekly = all in all it would be a $15k payout
1st = $5000
2nd =$2500
3rd = $1250
4th = $ 500
5th = $ 500

6th -10th = $ 250
11th-50th =$ 100

for a monthly = all in all it would be a $60k payout
1st = $20.000
2nd =$10.000
3rd = $ 5000
4th = $ 2000
5th = $ 2000

6th -10th = $1000
11th-50th = $ 400

now if I see these tables it look to me that the daily is ok the weekly is a bit to much and the monthly is much to much IMHO

what is Your opinion now seeing these tables?

thanx

That looks indeed more attractive,however i believe the daily contest is way too short due to different news events and
different styles of trading executed. But I'm sure giving out prices to more contestants is more eye catching thus you'll have much more competitors than any of the competitions held advertised on myfxbook.

If I could throw in ideas than I would suggest that the type of winning could be altered rather the person with the highest percentage is the absolute winner different ways of winning could be introduced such as 'Most gained pips', 'Highest win streak' or win ratio, 'Most traded currencies'...etc. That gives individuals the ability to show their skills in managing and trading rather than being an excellent gambler.

Cheers.
Not giving a quarter away.

very nice input kasravi,
yep, the more prizes the more attractive this will be.

Another thing could be different trading styles like nTrend, Scalping, Grid&Martiangale with xx DD and so on.... damn, this is goin to be a big one 😀

@kasravi

thank You for jumping in with ideas and Your opinion. very much appreciated.

regarding the Daily contest You could be right, not sure yet. we need to test it out. there are many short term trader out there. anyway the best days to trade forex is tuesday,wedneday and thursday. so maybe we will give 3 daily in a week and leave out monday and friday.

regarding the rules we are still working on that. but I agree with You that it makes sense to maybe give also prizes to most gained pips or win ratio, beside the highest percentage.

I hope there will come more input from some contest lovers.

cheers

Hi Dirk

thank You again for Your input. always helpful.

we are not a brokerage. we will offer forex demo contests on MT4 platform. we thought to give cash Prizes so each trader should do his Due Dilligence and decide himself with which Broker to open his live trading account.

I guess cross brokers contests will be very interesting. Traders try different conditions, also it's sort of interesting advertising for the broker, whose trader gonna win. I may be wont take a part, but I'll surely will follow the news of such a contest.

hi emanov

thank You for the comment. each comment is helpful. our feedback till now is that most of our answers we got regarding the leverage is 100:1

regarding the starting balance we have still a mixed picture that shows 10k and 50k.

any comment is welcome and appreciated.

cheers
