Judging by the way this trades, it seems very unlikely those with below huge accounts will make much on this. As well, a simple 2.5% withdrawal fee would wipe out months of gains.

So WTF is happening now???The EA Took a Euro buy USD trade, all indicators were sell... and lost 92 pips. Immediately reversed and bought and now is under water to the tune of 80 pips.....four figures down and counting.

So in summary on a LIVE $5000 account that I have had active for several weeks, when trading was modest 0.64 lots, only a few very small trades 1 or 2 per week, slightly in profit, today went mad, put trades in at 3,95 lots!! I lost $2000 as it was in freefall. Needless to say I'm out ...good luck!!

Hey Glendower,
Your posts actually had me reactivate this profile.
But yes, if you look at the history there was a chance that could happen. On March 31, this account took a loss of about $12k and 90+ pips. It immediately took the opposite position, increased the lot size 7x times, and made about all of it back on a 12 pip trade. I'm guessing that's what just happened here. Hopefully this helps as you go through other account histories.

Why such a small profit? It's easier to buy stocks.

That's not what happened in my case. It took the Euro trade at a significantly higher lot size than the account can stand for the first time. After losing the 100 pips, it reversed the trade, however at exactly the same time the currency reversed at the same lot size, doubling the previous loss...at which point I closed it as I could see NO way the trade could be saved, as ALL the indicators were against the trade both ways. If it can screw up like this, there's NO LOGIS that is suatainable in the EA>

don't know what are you talking about. I have good profit from these last trades. If it blew your account maybe you had some margin problems ? Or settings of lot size or money management?
I have the profit and it seems that reverse trade covered not only previous buy trade, but it win more for me...
Guys, use correct settings and all will be ok!

The EA arbitrarily massively increased lot size on it’s own.

Yes it opens a reverse trade should your position gets a SL. You can also adjust its multiplier of 7 to another number should you feel uncomfortable with the lot size. Or you can also turn off reverse trade if you prefer. But that's the point of the reverse trade, To cover the loss.

Caveat Emptor.. my experience was not good, see my posts above. It randomly changes lot size, and sometimes makes BIG mistakes.

I have yet to have an issue with this bot. It has lost two trades and recovered it on the reverse. If you have the standard settings it should be trading 0.01 lot size per $100USD. If you have $199 USD in your account it will still trade 0.01 until you break that next tier at $200 which it will start trading 0.02 lots. For me, it was producing between 1.12% and 2.59% a month. Mine only trades EUR/USD. Again these are all stock settings. It's looking for about 2 pips per trade. It will never go on a huge run with the stock settings. If you are actively day trading on the same account you could potentially screw the bot up if it needed to make a reversal trade and you had the money potentially tied up in another trade. I would put this bot on one account almost like a 'Bond' fund in an investment portfolio and just let it run. If you are day trading on a different account then maybe shift part of your winnings to the bot and keep those gains locked in and safely growing.

None of the above, only trading the Bot on the account, it just went MAD, and took, frankly for the FIRST time, a way too big lot size against the trend, and reversed at exactly the wrong time. I'm out.

Glendower posted:Can you share your MyFXBook link? Also, if you reach out to their support they will offer to log into your VPN and look at your bot settings. They take about a week to get back to you but they do a nice job...from my personal experience. They do seem to care about their product and want to make sure there is nothing wonky going on. I'm also using FXChoice as it's the broker they recommended for their bot.
Yes.....
This week I turned on the trailing stop feature for the first time and it took one trade. Trailing Distance was 6.0 (I dropped it to 5.0) and kept the Trailing Step at 1.0. It was able to grab a few extra pips. I really would reach out to them because if there is a bug for you then there is a bug for all users.
