I can´t believe you guys are speaking about eu in such a light. The market yesterday along popped 120 plus pips and then dropped recovering the same amount. If you guys simply learn to trade on the lower tf you can make a ton of pips.

As you can see we closed acrossed the price and eu has broken it slightly across it.... Have a look at where you sl would be ( a closed on the 1hr inside the blue box)

Sorry to hear about your loss. What you should do is identify the reason why you the lost. What we have seen the last 5 months on EU is by far one of the rarest events in forex. Yet, if everyone keeps shorting you will suffer much bigger loss. It is in your best interest to take scalp positions then holding, as scalping is what the market does.

I don´t trade based on support or resistance. I wait for accumulation, and then take my trades based on that. That is by far the best way to trade instead of trying to pick bottoms or tops. When you guess wrong your account suffer massive losses, and then you revenge trade after that.

Don´t worry all the shorters will kiss those profits good bye next week. We will have one heck of an NFP, and as people believe that it will be a stop hunt and keep shorting, they will feel the rath of price action!

After looking at your results, they aren´t impressive at all. Especially since you are trading in DEMO. I saw one trade in which you held it for over 110 days, in which you were in red more then 300 pips, and then you ended up closing it for 4 pips profit, but had a negative return due to the swaps over the span of the 110 days. It appears you are a bias trader in even in demo, which means you will do the same thing in a live account. I don´t believe anyone will invest in your system due to that issue.

Ok Crazy Trader. Now since you say that three different brokers will give three different results, why not go one step further to identify the reason as to WHY! Once you understand the reason why it will then lead to the answer as to why. It isn´t fair to say it DOESN´T work when it HASN´T worked for you. For the most part lack of constant signals, or different quotes to brokers will result in the change. Yet, i take it neither of you actually programmed the so called EA which you use. Which of course explains your pessimitic view of back testing not working.

WHat are you talking about? It depends on the system you are actually running. If your using the silly support and resistance strategy, and brokers have different quotes (due to spreads) then of course you will get different results! You guys are making opened statements and have yet to provide proof of what you are claiming. Backtesting not working is like saying ¨studying before an exam doesn´t make sense¨.

Back testing doesn't only have to be used for an EA. If you trade manually you will be TESTING the system which you would use in live. None the less, back testing is a very effective way to tell if a system works or not. The problem is most people back test, and come up with very good rules, but once they begin trading live they forget all that they have tested, which leads one to believe that back testing is useless, but it is the actual trader who isn't consistent enough to trade as they back test.

Thank you shiva for pointing it out! It is clear to see that Adrian is only looking for investors because he has no funds to deposit himself. Well no real funds atleast. He is also trading (using pamm) at gaspy or some silly bucketshop broker in which you can run a pamm, but you don´t need to deposit. The broker actually gives you 5000usd, in which you can trade with, but you can not withdraw profits of that 5000usd or the 5000usd itself until you get a client. Once you get a client THEN the profit you earn the client can be withdrawn.
