I do not agree. In fact I think the complete opposite. Almost all methods do not give profit even if followed exactly. If that were the case it would be easy to write an EA and then made $$$ . Forex is hard and requires insight not just blindly following some method

How do you get robots to really be long term consistent? Surely purely mechanical systems do not work. The market is constantly changing and is more subtle than simple rules can understand

I have read all the free stuff and I can tell you that it is no good. You need a pro trader to really explain what you need to do. The normal strategies that are taught for free do not work. You need something more subtle only a pro can teach you this

These pairs suck at the moment because interest rates are so low and volatility is down the pan. Better to focus on more exotic pairs now and cross pairs because there is more price movement.

Why is backtesting poor on MT4? I have been using it for years to back test strategies and has worked fine. I get 99% accuracy with tickstory data. I only got 1 year of data when I tried backtesting on Mt5

No. With a 1000 Euro account and 1:100 leverage the max position you can open is 100,000 Euro. 1 Lot is 100,000 units of Euro BUT as commission is $5.5 per lot this will reduce your account to just below 1000 Euro so you will not be able to open 1 Lot in practice.
