I would sum it up by importance:

1. Credebility
2. Customer service
3. Pricing
4. Trading Platform

This is only my opinion, so I'm sure others will feel differently. When I'm looking for a broker, first thing to do is some research about past experiences of other users, so definetly credebility is the most important. Then I need to check their customer service - I want quick and easy support process so I won't waste time/money when I don't need to.
Pricing is obviously important, but only after they passed my due diligence. Lastly, the trading platform which is not that important since all of the brokers use almost the same platforms - metatrader/act trader.

Customer service and pricing is definitely the 2 most important criterias in my book. I don't really care about past user experiences as long as they don't do the same to me 😇

I reg'd for your promotional acc of $25 sometime last year and on 11 Feb 2010 there was an adjustment transaction of $25 effected on the account which brought the acc bal from $107 to $87. Why is this?

Anyway, I am submitting this particular acc to myfxbook for monitoring.

Any Broker that only offers metatrader, is surely not worth using. I can already hear mql lovers screaming....

I've used FXCM- market scope for over 3 years. I am happy, But I have moved on to something much better.

My first broker was IBFX with metatrader and... what a joke!
I've tried Alpari uK, FXopen, Admiral markets, Broco, Tadawulfx, and others.... for mt4--- using fxcm uk mt4 for managed account and once agian metatrader is a JOKE for day trading....
I've used Oanda for 2 months. 4/5 .. spreads are crazy during lon/us

But I use Dukascopy for my personal accounts.

MetaTrader is in Beta from Dukascopy. Dukascopy is offering Mt4 as a way to bring in more customers, as they have lowered their initial deposit to $5000 from $50,000 to offer their liquidity to retail traders.

Mt4 is the most popular retail platform, so offering MetaTrader is a marketing approach and does not mean anything else.

As I stated above.

ANY BROKER THAT ONLY OFFERS METATRADER is not worth using.......

Bull. Most MT4 brokers also provide other platforms too. (and a lot of them are worthless) - I've used both. My current broker only offers MT4 and I'm quite happy. I just left one that had multiple choices. Whether you offer MT4 singularly has no bearing on the quality of the broker. If a broker wants to scam you it doesnt matter if they have 10 other platforms if they're all crooked.

'MOST' huh?

https://www.100forexbrokers.com/mt4forexbrokers

Most Brokers do not offer another trading platform.

OTHER platforms....Worthless for automation... Yes I agree... But for day trading... No....

I understand that all members on this site use Oanda or MetaTrader, and for the comments that I have made, Insults, arguments , bashing, etc was bound to happen. I was aware of this before stating the facts.

The truth is MQL is flawed from a programmers point of view. Argue all you want.

MQL4 is just a programming language. Its no 'better' or 'worse' than the programmer that uses it. Of course the platform MT4 is flawed in a variety of ways (EA security being first in my mind) but MQL4 has opened up financial programming to thousands that never would have approached Ninja Trader or other automation systems.

In fact the C++, Java comparison was a compliment to the speed of MQL4. Its faster than the other financial programming languages and only lags dedicated languages built for speed. (games, mission critical real-time execution, etc.) MQL4 is built for ease of implementation and it succeeds wildly. If it was a speed contest I could say that EVERYTHING is slow compared to Machine Language but how easy it it to create strategies and make changes to ideas? The speed I care about is how fast I can implement my ideas. I can create trading programs faster in MQL4 than in almost any other language. THATS the speed I care about.

But I digress. I'll cut this short as I go to bed and let my MQL4 EA with my MT4 only broker make real money for me as I sleep on 100% autopilot. (what a pompous Jerk!) Zzzzzzz......
