@JinTinTrading I think cTrader is easier to use, the user interface is better than the MT4 microsoft 2000 user interface, have you tried cTrader and compared ?

cTrader is the better platform... but MT4 is the most popular so there are many more resources and fx robots available for mt4

cTrader has a better interface than MT4, but takes a lot more RAM than MT4 and 99% of trading software is in MT4, so in the end, willy-nilly, I'm stuck with MT4

I have always felt cTrader was more slick and but MT4 has more substance for sure and if trading you want to know it's reliable

I think naturally most traders when they start off they get introduced to Met trader, its the industry standard and there is no competition except cTrader, webtraders and tradingview. I feel as if due to the lack of options Metatrader and traders have become complacent and just stuck with whatever metatrader has to offer. As traders its important for us to trade on platforms that enable us to achieve the best results, I'd like to have a more in depth discussion around which platform is best suited to different individual trading styles.

@ovisun metatrader requires a minimum of 512 MB but 1GB is recommended while cTrader requires 4GB, I wouldn't say that's big deciding factor, as most computers now days offer 4GB RAM and if you are to run trading software's wouldn't you need to have a computer that has a good spec with at least over 4GB Ram?

@fearfuldizzy agreed, Metatrader does have a lot of resources and robots but i think it depends what you are looking for. Please elaborate on resources, such as ? I think metatrader would naturally offer more robots because they have a bigger community but what about the quality of those robots, does have MQL4 offer good robots ?

I know good reviews about cTrader, but my broker uses the MT4 trading platform and does not offer cTrader
so I only use MT4 and never use cTrader.

I keep my trading on a VPS with 4 GB of RAM, but also I have 6 MT4 running in parallel. The addition of only one cTrader is not healthy at all.

cTrader is more demanding on your computer if that's a concern and not as widely utilised by as many brokers as MT4
If you can't spot the liquidity then you are the liquidity.

I prefer trading with the MT4 platform because it is easier to use and the user interface is better than CTrader and the MT4 is also suitable for forex currency trading, which I'm into.

I have been playing around with Depth of market feature on cTrader, it actually quite helpful because you can see the liquidity.
