The quote is extremely slow..
It take 2minutes time to close an order and turn my 2k profit into 5k losses...within that 2 minutes..
ECN broker need so long time to close order?
When i pressed close order why the price is not lock at that time then waiting for broker to process????
After waited for 2minutes it close my order in latest price not the previous price as when i clicked close order????

One more problem:
I configured the EA, set the no. of the account and pass but EA gives 'HTTP Error' when it
tries to connect to myfxbook server.
Otherwise the connection is OK and I'm able to trade..
Have you tried restarting Metatrader? Do you use a firewall?

Hi okwh,
We've checked. When you introduce a large limit order within the spread and someone would like to buy a certain amount from you the platform is closing your order and is opening it again minus the amount the other trader bought from you. The platform didn't trade FOR you. If you notice it's the same trade as you made, minus 0.4 lot and 0.2 lot that someone purchased from you until someone came and purchased the remaining 49.4 lots amount.
However, when reopening your trade for some reason your take profit wasn't replicated which most probably made you manually close out your position. We would like to compensate you for that difference (between the price you closed and the take profit you set). Please confirm and we will go ahead and do so.

Ben

Hi Dan,
We've checked this and HTTP Error doesn't seem to be our system error. In fact we don't work with this protocol at all. It's probably some firewall setting or alike. What I suggest you do is contact our support by email or live chat and they can try and walk you through a solution.

Ben, it's actually a message of our EA 😄 - the traffic is actively blocked by the user's firewall, hence the message.

At 2011.03.01 17:05 three buy orders opened up for usd/jpy instead of TP. At this point I already had a total of 150 lots (50*3) of long position.
Because my TP was ignored and instead new orders opened up (in place of TP), I got a margin alert and all my positions were closed at 18:33
I have suffered around 83% loss on the first day of contest, this puts me on a severe disadvantage. I hope something can be done about this :)
P.S. I'hv mailed this to [email protected] and [email protected] Got a reply from Ethan (myfxbook. Thanks!!) that it will be handled by fxopen (still no reply from them though). This puts me at ease somewhat.
P.P.S. The date and time posted here is the broker (fxopen) system time.

The reason a forex broker would give real money for demo account competition is simply to create brand awareness and for tapping into a pool of large potential user base that can try out their demo account. And this is all good. 1360 users are running in this competition and probably more are keeping an eye on it. This year the participation has increased more than double for fxopen.
If they don't do something about these errors quickly, they will lose more goodwill then they would create.
I still havent received any reply. I would have even be satisfied if they had at-least replied that nothing can be done about it.
