I am currently writing a course because I am tired of doing courses that do not give you all the information you need and am going to provide the exact strategy behind my system. Too many gurus bang on about how to trade yet do not provide real live trading verified results.
Also, the problem with a lot of courses is that they are just marketing tools to get people to sign up to a broker or sell courses in stages starting off with a cheap ebook, then course, then mentoring etc..
Another thing for those good at patterns and what I have found a really interesting thing to do is find a really good system and try to reverse engineer it to determine what indicators are used, over what timeframes and with what filters.
For the news and fundamental traders out there would definitely recommend they watch Keiser Report on YouTube and also check out the Institute of Technical and Portfolio Managers (ITPM) channel, I saw Anton Kreil speak here in Perth.

I am pretty new to the forum here, and just reading around. However, I have taken many courses already. So it depends what you are looking for.
1. There are many free courses that you can fine on Youtube, Udemy and other platforms with free videos. The problem with the free courses is that they teach you just the basics, and most of them are related to some broker. So at the end they 'ask you' to open live account somewhere.
2. About the paid courses, as well there you need to be with eyes opened and make a good research before enrolling. So far I have enrolled into courses from EAForexAcademy, ForexPeaceArmy, and Investopedia.
The first one are masters in algorithmic trading and they include many expert advisors into their courses. The good thing there is that they update the courses every month. And once enrolled you have lifetime access to the courses.
The second was a good experience too. Learned a lot, but here we are talking about manual trading. I got really nice price action knowledge and patters.
And the third one is also focused on manual trading. I got a course from former professional trader who teaches well. They have made simply the course look really professional but I am not still sure about the value of it. I am still testing his strategies but I can not figure somethings out.
As a conclusion, if you are looking for algo trading, you better look at the courses of EA Forex Academy. If you are looking for manual, than ForexPeaceArmy and Investopedia would be your place. And actually EAForexAcademy and Investopedia had 30 day money back guarantee which is nice. I changed few courses with this option.

For training, I use everyday a tool called Soft4FX Forex Simulator.
I am not affiliated nor have any relationship with it. I have asked the developer to include offline trading because it is the most important limitation I see. By the way, as long as you have an internet connection it works.
I like it because it is integrated into Metatrader, so it is perfect for me and it used tick by tick real data.
There is a free version that uses mt4 m1 data too.
Then, there is another tool called Forex Tester Pro. It is more expensive but it has other advantages. I do not use it because I do not need too much sophistication.
I tell you this, because I spend a lot of time using it to check my strategies and setups.
You can download the free version here. I think the limitations are that you cannot save the simulations and that you can only use MT4 data with 1M tick duration while the commercial version uses tick-by-tick data freely downloaded from Dukascopy.

Why don't you ask them for a free demo?
Ask them to share with you one of the techniques they teach so you can test it yourself before deciding.
Regarding courses without trading records, that is fallacy. One person may be the best price action teacher and not being able to open a profitable position in live markets. Technique is only 15% of the trading skills, the most important skill is mindset and methodology. That is why people fail in trading, because they do not understand trading as a business and instead think on trading as a lottery.

There are various sources that offer free learning course as well, why don't you go for them? Like we have one with babypips, I have seen many traders using that. I personally would suggest to stay away from the paid sources, most of them are here to steal your money, or if you really want to go for one, give it a good research first, check on their genuineness and only then opt.
