Hey traders,

Here we have a nice news from MetaQuotes:
https://www.metaquotes.net/en/metatrader4/news/4230

I hope Myfxbook @Ethan will take part of third-party websites and could provide for example FX Eco Calendar inputs so any EA could now be alerted from news directly into MT4.

Any tutorials would be very welcome to see how to implement and use this new feature... from any third party.

Cheers
CT

I'm always scared of another MT4 update... They always 'add' something that I , and other traders don't want to have.

Metatrader 5 is such a huge flop, it's clear to me that they are slowly but surely implementing MT5 into MT4.

Trying to get us to change in one foul swoop didn't work, so they're gonna slowly, slowly change MT4 into MT5, and I for one don't like it, don't like it a bit.

Hmm so far i'm only coding MT4 to MT5 for mass back testing and optimization purposes. Multi threading, GPU and cloud optimizing does help to get quicker results, especially for HFS strategies.

Live accounts are still MT4 though lol.

here is a simple sample of WebRequest https://github.com/samuraitaiga/mt4_httpclient

But it is hard to get valuable info from web request, because scrape html in mt4 is too hard(i guess impossible).
My suggestion is implement it by C++ and create dll.
