Index trading messing up everything.
The problem is not in a possibility to trade indexes, but in margin requirement for them.
Having 50:1 leverage for FX pairs only would make this contest much more interesting.

I also agree that this index margin requirements and 1 point value is sick coz if it could be possible to open more than 500lots (max possible for account) after open that position you insteadly get a MarginCall and account under 0 :D:D

yep, what's the point to make a contest with leverage 50:1 for FX pairs, when you can trade indexes with so little margin price?
For FX traders it's more difficult to compete with index traders. Give 400:1 leverage to FX pairs and you will see who rocks here:)

it may work in favor of the fx traders, if the index traders blow their accounts before they even reach the end... it's been known to happen ;)

And yes and no.. simple probability against us :)
from 1000 traders at least 1% can make a few killings in a row, which would end up with a 'standard' 1000% profit at the end of the contest :)

uuh, enough worries, let's just trade..

Personally I'm trading on fx market but in this situation when I saw that top players trading indexes I started trading them also. This is specification of the contest... participant searching for market giving him maximum profit in short time risking almost all... So if you want to win start to analize indexes... Oh... and one more thing... One bad decision and indexes players are out of this game :P
