The Execution speeds are actually a bit worse than I thought on my hotforex VIP account,
I compared Thinkforex to Hotforex, they are both on separate VPS servers getting 3ms and 7ms respectively
Thinkforex is getting Avg. Execution time of 4413ms and Hotforex is getting 6298ms
Thinkforex is getting Avg. Open Time of 5486ms and Hotforex is getting 23018ms !!!!
Thinkforex is getting Avg. Modify time of 3678ms and Hotforex is getting 2999ms (in this case Hotforex is slightly better)
Hotforex is also better for requotes at only 0.02 instead of 0.36 but this isn’t a big problem
So as you can see execution and open times are quite far apart causing hotforex to lose money on this EA and Thinkforex to make money…
I'm waiting for a reply from hotforex after they look into it, my VPS for Hotforex is located in the UK and I believe the Hotforex servers are located in Amsterdam.... perhaps it would be worth changing VPS providers to Hostplate who are also located in Amsterdam.. any thoughts? could this be effecting execution speed even though my existing VPS provider lists a 7ms latency from the UK VPS to Hotforex?

anyone, running MDP with Hotforex would do well to check out this forum: https://www.donnaforex.com/forum/index.php?topic=2904.1035 it outlines some very real issues with hotforex and latency issues, I believe this is due to their server hosting company Webazilla who I've heard are a powerfully average at best....

Those are some of the worst times I have ever seen anywhere under any conditions. You would be better off with my old broker, FXOpen.

Wow....I just looked at the demo account. It seems that my God has yet again defended me against massive losses. Now I am glad for seemingly irrational delays that kept happening while trying to get my new account set up to trade!

That is the main demo account from MDP and is the one I was referring to.

Dont worry about trades or not. Remember the old forex saying... Its best to trade smart than to trade often and lose. Not all of us can be rocketscientist. heheheheh I also check the mdp main trade page to look for trades made before I check my own vps. saving me a few steps and clicks. I havent had any trades since sunday night ( hawaii time).

Depends on where you live and how much money you have. I recommend FinFX and Pepperstone. I recommend asking the brokers which VPS their clients are getting the best performance from.

At this point, you're almost better placing 25 pip stop and limit orders in both directions on your EURUSD 1-minute charts yourselves. If the market spikes in either direction, your order is filled. You place about a 7-10 pip stop loss on the order. If we could program a robot to do that, and update the stop and limit orders every minute, we'd basically have something similar. Since Williams Bot is placing multiple trades, that's where I think the money is being lost. The systems can't keep up with multiple orders milliseconds apart from one another.

If we did program a Bot like the one I just mentioned, you'd only get one good trade out of it. However, if you were to place that Bot on mulitiple live accounts, the result would/should be the same on all of them... Less hang time for the individual trading systems. Has anyone heard of a scalping Bot that does this?

Hi,
I opened an razor account 5 weeks ago. At first time i had got 400-600ms average execution times. And i had small gains. Then they change the server of the broker to USA and the execution times fly to 1700-3000ms!!! And so the gain finished... For example today i had too many orders but there's no gain and small looses...
