interesting, about 10 days ago after looking at the CableRun strategy a similar strategy to what T-GAP have came to mind.... guess great minds think alike :) .just not able to code it. strat.. ' ..... looking to break even on ranging markets, buy/sell with the trend, ... takes grid, martingale into consideration ...lets say place pending order 20 pips from price, each order ... if price goes up 20 ... buy 1(tp20, no sl), goes up another 20 buy 1 (tp20, no sl) ... same for sell ,
now if price goes up and you buy 1, then goes back down 20 (-20), sell 2 (tp 20, no sl) if reaches tp close both at breakeven , then sell 1 (tp 20, no sl) .. same in other direction. Problem would be when price range ... continuing from previous if sell 2 , and price goes back up to initial buy then buy 3 (tp 20, no sl) ... if reach tp close at break even, then buy 1 (tp 20, no sl) ... keep going till get to daily range ... ' it actually makes sense if you read it slow :)

sorry, I don't understand your reaction. I asked u to show the community the 2002-2010 backtest.

U seems a bit confused: YOU intent to sell your EA, not me.

2) Take a look at the trade history, from time to time its doubling up when trade goes against it (with a large pip step), that's called martingale

3) Since I myself trade sophisticated marty style, there was no intention to write bad comment about other traders innovative trading approach... look at 1)

I'm looking forward at the release of this EA, I'm open minded...

And you both are right, only time tells:

I realize that your idea is a little more advanced (not much difference between pending orders and market orders when dealling with ea) , also , there are the odd times market open/close at same price but on a daily basis there is always a trend ... because we have no idea if day will be bullish or bearish we just go with direction of move ... so if go up 30 we buy , if go down 30 we sell ... incorporate martingale as a hedging strategy in case direction is wrong ... then break even , then continue buying or selling depending on direction of the move. Again, this is just basic idea ... can always include indicators to be a better idea of market direction an thus reduce drawdown. Ranging markets will be where you get most of your drawdown, idea is to get out of this with at least break even ... can make some money in ranging also.

Really like performance of your ea so far, would be interested in purchasing when becomes available as long as price is reasonable.

I would be among the first to purchase your product, but since it contains marty features I have to see an convincing backtest first. Just some weeks of forward demo isn't enough...

you still don't get.... 🙄

its not all about choice, its about wasting other peoples money and time. To provide a backtest is a basic thing to do when trying to enter this industry in a professional manner

it seems your system doesn't survive this backtest, otherwise you would proudly present the result. I'm right?😉

A backtest uploaded to the strategy section of this website would be good to look at. If you could do that, it would be brilliant.

I'm against classic martingale systems as well but this one is obviously different and much safer.
