Yeah, I like watching Sive's videos. I also happen to like the music he uses in the beginning of his vids.😎

   GlobalProfit/Dustin,
Can you please get it together with your dev/support team !
I have received another support email from Ivan G, Ticket ID: TZV-796420 saying there is,' Something definately not right' when the EA opens 1 lot, 100K, risk=1, mini account. He says the, ' EA might be stuck or return some dummy value'

There is serious conflict of information with what you say and support says. Check it yourself please

You have to choose one option, and then tell your support team to communicate it properly to your customers ! :

1. EA is broken with mini accounts. Your job to fix it.
2. The EA only works correctly on micro accounts. Your job to communicate this properly from both you and support.

I am sorry, maybe my answer wasn't clear enough, let me try to expand it:

I wasn't saying that EA is broken, what I was saying is that there are cases when MT4's inner function confuses EA's lotsize portioning mechanism. There are several constant functions in MT4 that allows EA to scan information about trading account. At some point function that is used in lotsizing might return not proper values - This is glitch of MT4 API ,not EA - NB!

Because of this EA might not work as expected. I've seen several cases like this. Most of the time complete MT4 re-installation cures this and after that point EA works good on mini and standard accs, although this might appear on micro accounts sometimes.

Ivan,
Thank you for replying but I, for one, did not really get it 😞 sorry.

Do you have an other way of putting it?

More importantly, how can we recognise any errors and resolved them?

Thanks

If we set the EA to ActivateEA = False so the EA can't open new baskets, does that mean it won't open any new positions at all or that it will open new positions as required to trade existing baskets ? Don't think this has been asked yet.

If we see that the EA has opened a new basket which we didn't want it to and we manually close the position does that get rid of the basket as far as the EA is concerned ?

Thanks

Trading EURUSD and suffering from the nasty short position - I've just watched TomsEA add a lot to the long basket when the market paused on the way down, then 13 minutes and 1/10th of a pip later add a boatload more lots to the short basket.

Ummmmmmm ........

For yourself and others, I would suggest you watch what happens to the take profit point on your trades when this happens. The EA trades ranges in price and it's not hard to predict likely trades when you keep an eye on it for a while with ranges in mind. Actually, it's kinda neat just to watch the EA to see what it does in cases like this.

Cheers

It should finish series( basket ) of trades and then stop placing all new entries. However I am not sure about opposite basket. But I supposed it should be finished aswell...

@Lorenzo - I am sorry, but its hard to explain in simple terms since this is related to inner mechanic and programming elements. But the bottom line is - if you've started new account for the EA and you see unusual high or low lots traded you might be needed to check up following elements :
#1 account type
#2 min lotsize allowed by broker
if non of this is wrong than you should contact us at [email protected] . First item in troubleshooting would be re-installing MT4. Typically this helps, if not there are 3 others steps to take, but I won't be describing them here

I hope Dustin or Ivan may answer this question: like chairman, I also noted there was new open trade in my tradency account to sell 0.15 lot eurusd today and no basket closed. but on my two demo accounts eurusd short basket has been closed for small loss. I am wondering there is some manual interventions for eurusd short basket for all tradency users from Tom? too many tomsea users for same trade, or some other technical glitches?

Ivan or Dustin,

I also have a surprising situation similar to the above.
I deactivated the EA at the weekend, under the impression that it will not open any new trades but merely manage existing ones. However, today I find a short 0.15 trade openas well as two new longs? (both 0.01)

Why is the EA still trading if it is deactivated?

Thanks

Hi, all
I am posting my email to dustin sent a minutes ago. I am wondering you guys has same problem.
Hi, Dustin
I am getting very concerned now since I noted your wpfx live account has
closed all eurusd short positions around 18:38 with small gain while my live
tradency account still stuck with big loss. Are you front running your ea
customers?
Sorry for the harsh words, but I am very uneasy about my current positions.
please advise.

I have also noticed that, has anyone else had their EURUSD closed?

Hi Guys

EUR/USD open on two accounts (MT4 EA) and open on Tradency account. Not sure what gives with the close of EUR/USD trades on the wpfx live account?

I had also seen a large trade added to baskets on both EUR/USD and EUR/GBP after I had reduced risk to 1 to avert further huge DD. It has subsequently moved trades to risk 1, but not before adding that large trade to 2 baskets.

Good luck to everyone sweating the EUR swings at present - logic does not necessarily precede emotion in these markets.

I am not sweating about win or loss as long as my signal provider/service is trustworthy. I checked tradency platform from FXDD, there were no siganls this afternoon.

I think the trade in question here is as follows:

01.30.2012 04:01 01.30.2012 18:38 EURUSD Sell 0.47 - 1.30814 1.31801 1.30814 98.7 463.89 14h 37m 1.72%

This trade is still open in all three of my platforms (2 x MT4 and 1 x Tradency). Could it have been closed manually, as my TP target is showing as approx. 184 pips which it did not appear to get anywhere near.

I want to be clear here - I am NOT casting aspersions or pointing the finger at anyone - it is software after all (FFS) and software can be inherently unreliable at the best of times. This could have been a bug or something else, not necessarily a manually closed trade (or basket by the looks of things), but I would like to hear an explanation?

A friend of mine had the same problem. I suspect the Tradency system has a Max DD feature enabled. The live account showed here is more likely running on MT4 without Max DD enabled.

Here's a technical chart that may provide some relief.

-Yesterday’s low of 1.3074 was the result of reduced confidence
in the Greece, affecting the Euro.
-Today’s rebound is due to Greek Govt pledging to cooperate
and improve debt management.

We are supported by an implied USD rally from recent lows and
weakening in the recent Gold rally.

At present moment in writing, EURUSD seems to be troubled
in taking price past 1.32. Let’s all hope the H&S pattern completes.

Technical Review:

This is the H1 chart. Price stands at 78.6% retracement from Fridays high of 1.3246 to yesterday’s low of 1.3074. 2 bars ago there was a reverse pin formation. On M30, you would have also seen a reverse hammer formation. These point at further move down.

If price moves above 78.6, our next safety net is 86.6%. Failing which, things can get messy, as up-move may continue.

However, let’s look at the downward possibility.
- Stochastics has been in the oversold region for some time.
- rice action actually closed above upper Bollinger Band and has been hugging to it
- EMAs in the Damiani Volatmeter are in the wrong order (faster line is above slower line), though both are headed down, showing downward bias.
- However, the red underline spells a “Do Not Trade” as present market shows no clear trend yet.

Just thought you guys should be aware....a great deal of this rebound from the run down is due to profit taking from short positions. This means 2 things, one good and one bad. #1-There are fewer big traders that are already short, so there is potentially more available funds to drive the EURUSD short movement. #2-The big traders are dumping their short positions in preparation for another push to go long. If it was me, I would be planning my exit strategy for worst case scenario. I only say this because there are some analysts speculating for the EURUSD to proceed up to 1.3800. I have no clue but if you have a big DD, it never hurts to start planning exactly what to do now instead of making last minute decisions.
