Books and websites are good, but in my opinions, the experience is more practical for you, even just a demo or test account. But if you are new to here, you need to acquire some basic knowledge from anywhere or a tutor. I think people here are all willing to share their experience. But being neutral is important. I agree with this part: "There is no business without risk. Forex... but the most profitable."I studied economics when I was at the university, we call the profit from risks "Risk Premium". High profit usually means high risk. If the risk was not so horrible, everyone would do their best to reach this profits. More and more people come in, the benefits would eventually be eliminated. Thus, the reason that you could earn excessive profits is you dare to take more risks than others.

In my opinion, Forex is profitable and not profitable at the same time. It depends on people, discipline and strategies. During trading, we would usually become emotional, assuming the price would keep rising when it rises or it would stop falling soon when it falls. Of course, there is such possibility but not every time. It usually leads to a great loss. Because of this, we need to form our discipline to stop loss or take profit. This idea is also helpful in other investments.

Demo trading is a good choice for your experimental strategies or developing and observing your own patterns. However, it would have a hard time trading with real account because the numbers inside mean your money. Then emotions come to your mind and make you hesitate. Overall, it's good to use demo account to practice.

Some can ensure that your capital will not be used in other ways and help you to prevent "The Black Swan". However, not every institute protects customers' right and money so much. There are many frauds and people losing money by being duped in this market. Thus, the governments need to do something to protect their own people, but sometimes the foreigners not included. So we need to recognize the institute we choose and rely on them.
