Jarora; You have to learn to withdraw profits weekly. A system that makes 350% in 6 weeks and then crashes is not necessarily bad. If you had withdrawn your profits weekly, even with the account blowing you would have done very well. If you only look at the right edge of the chart to say, look, it ended badly, you will not be successful. There is more to it than that. What you really should be gauging is the possibility of making back you initial investment before a system crashes as opposed to just looking at the crash itself. I am not defending Identity at this point. It may not hold up. But ...

I manually closed this account down. Traders Way is new to me and I thought I had 500:1 margin, but just realized it only had 200:1. The account was about even, and without even being stressed yet, my available margin was already very low. I may restart here once I sort things out, or I may just move this to finfx as well.

A question to you folks trading this and considering buying this. This system has gone NOWHERE in over a year now. Doesn't that concern you in the least little but? What am I missing here?

There's always a million what if's. You can lower the base lot size and lower the risk, the account may never blow out, and you wind up with the same product type as all the others (that actually perform) doing 7% a month. You don't change a system to match your trading style. You find a system that matches your trading style.I am going to start this up again January 7th, again with 3,300 dollars and full risk. I will not add funds ever again. If it blows out before I recoup my seed money, I will try it one more time at the .5 risk setting. If that blows out, then I too will be don...

No Financialarts, this was not a cent account. It was a dollar account. There is no one solution. I am trading 6 different systems across three different brokers. In totality, I am doing quite well. My primary Envy system has been running since June with no problems. Profits are transferred out weekly and I am coming close to having my initial seed money back out of it.Most people don't understand what Ultra is. It is not meant to be safe. It is unsafe, and wildly profitable. Envy has twice blown out an Ultra account. the first one made them 2,000% in two months before it blew, the second ...

Well, she blew out last night. It is amazing how had the EURJPY has run. Right through major resistance without a pause. I'm not sure adding the funds as a buffer is a wise thing to do. I am talking to Envy about this. They seem excited to add the buffer feature. Unlike others, I am not going to get rid of this myfxbook chart. I am going to run each new instance on the same one so I can sort of track this thing long term, or as long as I am willing to put me head in the vise. We'll start it up again after the first of the year.

Getting stressed pretty hard today, just a little more than a week into the system. This is definitely not for big money or scared money. 4 of the 5 pair were pretty much break even or small losses. EURJPY is strongly in the hole. I wound up doing a chicken out on the 4 break even pair to free up some margin. and I dropped another grand into the account (30%) just to make sure I don't get called. I am fully developed on the EURJPY so now its the only pair open and I must wait for the retrace. Hopefully this will close before the weekend.

I set a custom start date of 11/8/12. That's the day I turned off Kangaroo's EURUSD. See note on 11/10/12.

Yes, it has been. You know how that one aw shit wipes out all the atta boys though! I am running 6 live accounts and 5 demo accounts, but this one is always up on my 4th monitor during the day. I really want to hawk this one as best I can so I can learn how it breathes. I was going to not trade through the holidays, but I think I am going to. There will be periods of stressed margin, and Id rather learn to manage that through a slow motion train wreck of holiday volume than the full volume onslaughts later. I do have other accounts with Traders Way (one of the few 500:1 margin brokers that tak...

Working out bugs, gave back 3% profit on first day. Went chicken out on three positions and freeze after take profit on the other two. I think Ultra is not sizing initial lots correctly, or I am supposed to set them manually and don't know it. On 3,300, system is taking .02 initial lots and I am getting warnings that the initial lot size is too big for my account. I will clear this up and restart.

We'll see Juham. Hacked just runs on the GBPUSD pair so there isnt alot of interference. The good thing is that they wont draw down at the same time as they shouldn't trend at the same time. I can turn one or the other off pretty easily f the other needs themargin.

I don't know why I come to their defense. Keeping more people out is probably better for me. The point you all miss is that there are a variety of ways to run FE. There is constant clamoring for greater returns, and with greater returns there are greater risks. The Power/ ULTRA is a prime example of one way to run envy at extremely high reward and higher risk. Frankly the ignorance sometimes amazes me. All the ignorant do is to look at the far right edge to see that it blew out. “WOW, good thing I didn’t buy that!”. Now back up the chart to November 9th. The system did al...

I am running Forex Hacked 2.4 AND Kangaroo on the AUD/USD pair. I paid for Kangaroo, I may as well use it. it doesn't trade very often on the one pair but the trades are generally winners. I think this combination is better for my portfolio. If ou want to see how Forex hacked 2.4 is doing standalone, see my account at https://www.myfxbook.com/members/Michigander/fore-hacked--pound-dollar/403677

I am disappointed with Kangaroo. They have not been trading the EURUSD for some time. They say they will not trade the EURUSD until things settle down. I can't wait 10 damn years for things to settle down. The AUDNZD does not trade enough to make any profit to speak of. So why bother? I rolled the dice and traded the EURUSD. it hums along then gets kicked in the teeth on one bad trade, hums along, gets kicked in the teeth. I am shelving Kangaroo until further notice. Something else will replace this tomorrow. Stay tuned.

No gobear99. I am running a fully licensed version of Forex Hacked using their default settings. I am also running two demos, one with Jaymans "higher risk" settings, and one with Jaymans "lower risk" settings. All three perform reasonably well. My main observation to date is that the licensed version has not had the draw downs of either of Jaymans versions.

Actually, they do differ, in drawdowns. I'm running multiple demo accounts with Jaymans setup with the lower and higher risk settings, and so far the licensed version of Hacked is far superior in % drawdown.

The big drop on 9/11 was my mistake. The German Supreme court ruled on backstopping the ECB Euro bonds. I know it was coming. Everyone was waiting for the decision with bated breath. I should have shut the system down.
Is compounding necessary?

Boy, lots of cavalier statements on this thread. Everyone should be concerned about risk of ruin, and not just the "blow smoke up your ass" percentages that are provided. All things being equal, things are never equal. Today is not like yesterday, Tomorrow will not be like today. If you are trading an EA, and are compounding, you are a fool, and you are your money will soon be parted. Always, always, ALWAYS, transfer profits into a separate account until you have recaptured your initial investment. Now you are playing with the houses money. After that, if you want to 100% compound, ...
