Dec 04, 2016 at 08:53
With the release of stronger UK Construction PMI, sentiments around sterling are solid prompting EUR/GBP to test the daily lows near 0.8430. Also pound remains boosted by the positive comments of “soft Brexit” from senior officials. On the other hand, euro remains pressurized to the downside due to the political instability in the Euro-zone owing to Italy referendum on Sunday. Right now the pair is struggling for direction and is expected that it will seek its immediate support now at 0.8420.

Thanks Clive. I absolutely agree with you that EAs play an important role. With EA strategy you can play with dynamic spreads as in you can set a spread calculator in your program so that it keeps on calculating the lowest spread (diff b/w bid & ask) and executes the trade when it gets the lowest spread which can be even below the average spread. Also you can set a upper limit for spread that is to not execute trade if spread goes above.

It has been a while since I opened up an account with Interactive Broker. They seemed good to me. They had always given best of their services. But, I will also count on ECN brokers like Finpro trading, Tallinex and FXCM.

All it depends upon the trading strategy. Like for a scalper fixed spreads won’t work as there can be too many requotes and added markups. I personally prefer variable spreads and my broker also offers me pure ECN spreads. Dynamic spreads can be sometimes very tight or even zero during some news events. But fixed spreads remain the same always, so you are not able to take advantage of real market tight spreads.
Swing vs Intraday

Swing trading is referred as placing trades and holding the position for long term or short term or at least for one night or even could be for medium term (a few weeks). The ultimate goal of a swing trader is to take into consideration the larger price movements & thus it needs careful sizing of position to lower the risk. If the market allows, swing trader has a lot of scope to gain in medium to long term. I am a swing trader and I believe it is always safe trade in long term for better profits… however, you can consider a swap free account like Islamic account type for trading. W...

Is demo trading enough before real account?

Before going for real account you should assure that you have built the confidence necessary to do live trading because in real account actual money is at stake. You need to amass sufficient amount of market knowledge, how it works as well as testing trading strategies. Before going for live trading you can also try social trading, through which a person can copy the trades of experts onto their own account and can learn from their trades. Demo trading is essential as it helps to adapt to an ever-changing market but other factors like required trading skills, in-depth knowledge of market, reas...

DEMO ACCOUNT vs LIVE ACCOUNT

In demo account price feeds may not be accurate or may be lagging whereas in live accounts price feeds are streaming and are as accurate and close to the real market. The major difference between demo and live account is trades are not actually executed in real market in case of demo account . While trading in demo you can trade with cool hand as your real money is not at stake, so the trader is quite liberal towards risk-reward rules. But the cost of decision at real account is measured in your own real money and when your real money is at stake it makes a huge difference. As trades in live ac...

I agree with this guy. Only smart & intelligent traders make profits in long term because traders usually lose their own selves while competing with other traders in the market.

Day trading is the system when you take a position during the day and close it before the end of that trading session. Therefore, making profit in this buying & selling system. It doesn’t concern that whether market will rise or fall but the fundamental news that affect the movement of the instrument. You only need to find is the strength & weakness of the instrument.
