Please clarify.What it seemd like, very clearly, is that your forward test did NOT close the trades when the 30% open trade DD was hit.Period. Michel, my comment wasnt about his EA's. I *have* purchased some of them in the past. I dont currently use any of them now. I *do* use the SFBI very profitably. Period. And NONE of the opinions on Don's EA's is relevant in the discussion here regarding his MANUAL system. As I already pointed out, whether this account is live or demo is irrelevant, it is still valid results and stats reporting, and given the length of trades the results should *NOT* vary between demo and live. First of all you nitwits, you keep yammering about Don's EA's, but this system is his manual trading using the SFBI, not an EA. Secondly, when the average trade length is 2 or 3 hours or whatever it is here, there is no difference between demo account vs live account results. So if you want to criticize go right ahead, but at least make logical sense.

MetaTrader Time of Day/Day of Week order open filter app neededI need an app created that will interact with a specified given running instance of metatrader 4 and at user-specified "times of day" and/or "days of week" the app will DISALLOW the opening of new orders from any EA (and then RE-ALLOW them when the filter window is over). This can be manually done now by opening "EA properties" and unchecking the "allow live trades" box, and therefore I could theoretically build a windows macro to do this, HOWEVER, we need a command-line app to do it instead ...

Thank you for the explanation, that makes sense. I personally dont need more than a 2 year backtest, and prefer to look at the forward test results of a few months to see the characteristics of the EA. Looks good so far, I may buy it.

Well, you know what, I HAVENT backtested it.I dont even know HOW to backtest.EVERY EA I have ever seen with a squeaky clean backtest has FAILED for me in live trading. EVERY ONE. So I dont really see the point. All I do is forward-test. I start by taking FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS that I believe are sound, and tweaking them with mathematical formulas that make sense, filtering based on relevant and significant times of day and week, and then just fine-tune from there.I have been deflecting all of the inquiries pouring in because its just too soon. wakeel, did they actually send you your dough? I would be SHOCKED if they allow your results to continue - expect "sudden" lags and slippages...but good luck to you while it lasts. I know who the broker is and I didnt jump on it NOR tell anyone, so good luck.

yes, the original shell was called Polyfit Scalper v1.59 from forex-tsd.com advanced elite section (pay forum) when I was a member there. However, this EA I am testing now is completely redone by me and bears no real resemblance to the original polyfit scalper except that it does still use polyfit bands as an element in its design, so I kept the name Polyfit.And no, its not for sale. And it never will be. If testing continues and performance is consistent, though, I may offer the signals in the near future to subscribers.
