30% is absolutely real target and realizable. My system gives such result, but broker must be fast and fees not huge. Latency is also very important.

The question is how long, especially with a MartiGrid like yours...

Lets have a look at your account in 6 months. I bet we will read: 'This account has been deleted by the user.'

ok, no problem ))
If you can't apply martin principles in the work and don't understand how they can be used for profitable trading - it doesn't mean that it is bad. Of course I don't recommend to use martingale in the pure state. it needs titanic work to turn it into the stable profit generator.

I get goosebumps from MartiGrids as I have burnt myself so many times with them. In addition, everybody else has crashed and burnt with them... Sooner or later. Usually sooner.

Nevertheless, I am curious. Honestly. Lets review it in 6 months. Miracles can happen...

sorry bro, if you combine martingale with several security features, you'll be always on the safe side:
-async hedges
-dynamic pair tp, ts
-dynamic steps between orders
-open or closed martingale
-basket percentage
-1-3-2-4 management
and some more..
and you are right if you use the static casino martingale in a dynamic market!, but also static values for tp, ts, sl also completly wrong in an dynamic market!

@IXBONE

I might agree with you, but I am a very RATIONALE guy, i.e. I need some PROOF to believe that a tweaked Martingale can be profitable on the long run without a devastating DD. In other words: being reasonably safe for larger funds.

A verified REAL account at a reputable broker running the strategy for at least 6 months (preferably for 12+ months) might make me a BELIEVER...

The 12+ months history would assure that the strategy can handle a wide variety of market conditions.

oh man, DD only reasonable if you realize the loss in the hard way! but if you do open!!! martingale+async hedge+dyn pair+basket%-DD is useless.
2nd, usage of martingale depends always on primary (failed) entries, so before you do martingale you have to configure your entries well and if sometimes! a trade goes wrong, then martingale+security features are started-this is not an every day and trade solution!
3rd, what is reputable broker? alpari uk was one of them and now...
4th, sorry bro, no one would you change to a believer, but do some math like brownian motion, stochastics =financial mathematics and visit the online bond university, where you can find some studies about the usage of stoploss-this is what you should believe! open your minds, kicking the old school trading rules-the market changes day by day, therfore the rules must change to-the old school rules where made in th 1920-1980...
5th, if you trade the daily tf, it doesnt matter if you do real or demo because the tick data is nearby the same, both, demo and real get their quotes from the same quoteserver! only if you scalp 0,5-15 min, you will see 1-2,5 ticks difference (tick is not pip!)...and if you do async hedge your open martingale, d1 is the best tf, because the old school static grid knowledge went always wrong. (agreed with you)

Everyone has different strategies, generally when someone says in trading you can't do it or won't be able to it is because it is they're limitations and not yours. Each to their own if you have a proven strategy over a lengthy period use it, it's as simple as that no need to complicate things.

However generally with Martingale and Grids in my personal experience it is hard to stand the test of time with one such system, that is not to say it cannot be done.

@Scroooge if 'it needs titanic work to turn it into the stable profit generator', then why not just use a system + less risky MoneyManagement?
The net effect would be the same or less work, and less risk.
So overall there are 2 arguments against martingale and no benefit which could outweight them?
Profit alone is not an argument, since profit must always seen versus risk (riskreward,DD-risk)

I mean you could try it for yourself if you want to ignore the math :)

so the result is that you modified martingale so hard that in the end you are just trading.
I explain why:
-async hedges -> can be replaced with stop/limit orders and have the same effect. Hedging is just delaying the loss.
-dynamic pair tp, ts -> ATR-function often used in trading
-dynamic steps between orders - > 1-2-3 trading / retracements / fibonacci levels
-open or closed martingale - > scaling in/out in countertrend or pyramiding with the trend
-basket percentage -> ?
-1-3-2-4 management -> ?

my brother worked several months on a countertrend martingale, what he founds is that you just delay the loss until the large cycle wipes you out (with large cycle i mean 6-12 months)
he had
+ dynamic Levels
+ dynamic SL/TP
+async hedges on the outer level (last line of defense)

so several features you mentioned where developed on its on (he didn't read forums)
Look how it ends. (Its the second crash)

what ibone said is true, IXBONE . Funny that i am working also on statistics at the moment(brownian motion, stochastics).
My conclusion is the Market is random and not-random at once. Random in the university definition. And not random when you
consider the fact that the Market is fractal.

The Academics are funny because they think only because brownian motion can produce similar waveshapes as Markets,
that markets are random. The proof is done by induction. Randomness is measured in percent and not binary, that is what academic people dont look at when bashing on technical analysis. But on the other hand, pro trades can trade brownian motion profitable too ;D.

async hedges: you are wrong, works completly different from stop/limit orders
dynamic pairs ts,tp,sl: wrong again, calculation is price (action) based not ATR based! ATR based sets again an fixed valued at the given ATR point! only pa is dynamic!
dynamic steps: wrong: based on volatility and price action! no indicators, no trend lines and so on are used!
open/closed martingale: wrong: closed is like casino martingale, open used async hedges to martingale orders-nothing to do with pyramiding, trend doesnt matter!
basket%: lot size dynamically reduces, if the sum of all open orders exceeds 10/20/30%, sum >30% stop opening new orders
1-3-2-4: if you win the first 2 orders, you win always '2'= as long you win, start with next level, if you loose go back to start.
