When you are having a complex strategies, they get very difficult to maintain if you are not experienced, just like the one above said it. Plus, why hassle with everything with just for the sake of strategy? Always keep your strategy brief and offering a good result in your trading.
Agree with your doctrine. Trading Totally Mindset Game. The more complicated I think trading here, the more difficult it will be. So I have to think and trade in normal.

The less complicated trading system is the best methodology. There are heap of people who like confounded trading system. I think everything depends on individuals. Find what you are good at, use that. No matter whether it is simple or complicated strategy.

I agree with that point. I had to develop my own system. I honestly feel that the worst trader, as I was, can take my strategy and not only win but improve it a little maybe. It already is +90% accurate that is why I have not posted an alert in the group that failed, they all were winners. Trading it is a different thing, I make money on them but not always trading my signals perfectly, well... I really do not have to be perfect but just not losing a lot of money on the trade. Keep losses small is of HUGE importance. Hard to pick tops and bottom. I focus on the 'meat' of the move.

@LukeRachel Yes mindset plays a big role on Forex trading. Without having proper mindset, it's not possible to survive in the market. It's all about mind game.

Completely agree small losses are so key, i suppose it reverts back to good risk to reward and having the discipline to follow your rules not only for entry but for risk. If we can do that i think profitability is only around the corner

Agreed!
Your mindset, or how you approach forex trading, can either make you or break you as a forex trader.

Don't complicate things; the less complicated trading system is the best. In fact, many of the professional traders use basic bar charts to determine their trades.

@davemack Accually people get fascinated by seeing complicated colorful charts. They think may it's the best thing. Best strategy is the strategy that you understand the most.

Well, I have dubious attitude to this statement. On the one hand, the more complicated your trading strategy is, the more chances you have to make a mistake and ruin everything. On the other hand, if you trading strategy is too simple, then you'll hardly make any reliable analysis of the market. For example, your trading strategy can be based on one single indicator MACD. This strategy is very simple, but will you have the whole idea of the market if you use only MACD? I doubt that, so that you'll have lots of false signals and lots of losses.

Surely, I agreed with the most of you. The more easier system, the more easier it works. I do it too. I can't say my trading style is complicated. The most important thing as for is me, is that your atrategy works and brings you profit. That's all.

You are very right on the note that a trader is to stick with his own strategy that he is comfortable with. I personally like to keep things simple. In the Forex market, simple strategy works better. We just have to find the right strategy that offers better risk-reward with excellent winning rate.
