Hey folks,
I have been only reading in this thread for weeks and gathered some very good input about MDP settings and brokers, thanks everybody. I therefore decided to make my two MDP live-accounts public to show neebies that MDP works (but you should lower the risk and find your working settings). The name of the broker where I am running my first account is widely known, but don't ask me the name of the 2nd 😄.
Happy trading for all!
Fred

I would like to ask all of you if anyone is experiencing difficulties when activationg MDP on MT4.
I am asking this because I have no problems at all when I use it on my home PC but on the VPS it is a different story, it becomes impossible to activate when there is very little price movement.
Thanks,

How did you guys do? I lost about 3% on the last trades today, nothing wrong with the broker, just the move with very little pullbacks.
I lost too, but still have overall profit. But my other version made profit today! Live Account will follow soon with this version, because the risk SL/TP is less and there are much more trades.
I have read about execution times and found a link. The biggest problem with MT4 is that the platform itself needs 200ms to execute the trade, so the best execution time is around 201-250ms depending on latency/VPS. All brokers with more latency have Plugins to steal money!
Read this: https://www.pipinvestment.com/update/million-dollar-pips-latency-and-brokers-infrastructure
'Also, most FX brokers only offer MetaTrader4 with no FIX API option. Therefore, limitations in the platform itself will slow down a HFT system. MetaTrader4 takes a minimum of 200ms to process an order without any broker intervention ( Virtual Dealer Plugin ).'
What are your execution times and broker? I found a good EA to test the execution time in this thread: https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=337102

So, everybody can see now how William 'fulfill' his promises. The key promise was that he finally found the bot that works independently on the broker. Lies, lies, lies. So good luck guys..... You will change your minds when your accounts will be wiped off

first... they have to provide an official myfxbook demo account to be able to tak about FFM in this forum and npot the MDP one.
second, the documentation says that the filterdepth has to be adapted based on the broker...
I don't know what's the EA do exactly, but its normal to get different resutls if H4, D1 is used, also some brokers starts their trading session 1 hour before some other on sunday.
all of this can impacts the decision of the EA....

- 2% first broker, -6.4% 2nd broker!
Today my 2nd broker was worse than the first; usually it is the other way round.
I had two sets of loosing trades on MDP 1.2 with the 2nd broker. Furthermore there was a server downtime of about 20 minutes when the 2nd wave was open! They at first closed them at the next price after the server came up at around 1.2983, but when I complained immediately they gave me the price of the S/L that MDP tried to reach when it lost connection. That was about the same S/L-price as at the first broker.
I was reimbursed within 4 hours, that's what I call good customer-service!😱 With ILQ I waited once for 10 days!
So I had only a 4 pips loss for 4 trades instead of 16 each.
Maybe I should have demanded a complete reimbursement, though? 😲
Do you guys have experience with reimbursements of trades? What did you demand and how were they handled?

giving you the SL is pretty good. I dont think you can ask for the trade to be totally reversed. If the traded ended up a winner, you wouldn't have wanted it reversed, and you did enter taking the risk, so getting the SL is pretty fair. 4 hours to get it is also pretty good.

@rootkit: Sorry, I don't want to share the name of the 2nd broker. But maybe they aren't that good after all ...
@kimleow: Your right, I am satisfied wiith it. I only experienced it once with Alpari UK, that I complained of a S/L not being triggered at the exact price, but the price gapped through it. They just nulled the trade and reimbursed the total loss of around 450 EUR! 😄
But I guess, every broker does it differently and it also depends on the reason of your complaint.
