Hi revtraderpro, please post here if you make any update in the settings or EA. Furthermore can you include Basket close optional parameter as mentioned below.
Basket close = Enable/Disable
Basket close Scope = Active Chart/All Pairs
Basket close Targeted profit = 1% - 100% of account balance (Select able)
Regards.
this is good suggestion doug. please consider it. :)
Confidence is not "I will profit on this trade." Confidence is "I will be fine if I don't profit from this trade.

No it isn't an independently run account. It's just a link to Doug's statement. Which again has the contested trades that are allegedly due to a MyFxBook issue.
I'm not claiming the EA does not work. It clearly does, as so many people state. However the veracity of it's actual performance has to be doubted due to apparent spurious transactions in the historic statement. i.e. It's not as profitable as you think it is.
On top of this, if the transactions are spurious then the legitimacy of Synergy as a broker has to be doubted as I've had it confirmed from Ethan that this account has been read from the Synergy servers. That's what I'm more interested in getting to the bottom of if I'm honest. Was this EA marketed under a false statement involving corroboration at a broker level?
Best regards Steve

You're right Steve, sorry. - I got a reply from FPA which says its not their account. That's pretty crap really as I've always assumed those tests were independent and they form part of my decision making when buying an EA.......
What about BIRTs review, is that independent?

I'm not sure. I'm not claiming the EA doesn't work, over a period it seems to work. However people are purchasing based on an understanding of a performance level which I'm not convinced is there due to spurious trades in the history.
Here's a link to the NZDUSD price feed using Synergy FX MT4 for 11/12 December 2013, with the trade entries plotted for the three NZDUSD trades. Trades which appear both on MyFxBook and on the account statement.
Now while I'm not 100% sure about the timing of the trades due to possible daylight saving that may affect the actual timing of the trades, what is apparent when you analyse the price history for these three trades is that not only was the price not at the level that the trades were entered - even accounting for spread - but that around a 75 pip drawdown occurred on the first trade before it went into profit. This would have wiped the account as it would have exceeded the entire account balance by my calculations.
Best regards Steve

I totally agree with Steve on this. I did not buy this EA but did talk with Doug via email a few weeks back because I was interested in buying his EA. It is apparently clear that he exaggerated the number of lots being traded in the first month of December/2013 with huge risks, and as we have already discussed the numbers dont jive on the 3 NZD trades, and neither does the draw down which is generally pretty accurate on My FX Book.
In other words if you subtract the first 2 months of results, then the EA had 2 losing months and has only been averaging 7-8% ROI per month since. If you are happy with that return then by all means go out and buy his EA, but IMO there is much better EA's on the market today that have better returns and are cheaper to buy.

Hi Steve,
Is it yet a nightmare for some brokers who cheat the retails traders by keeping the orders of them and don't push those orders to the interbank markets, because traders have such EA which can make for each trader some hundred K USD /year,and those 'brokers' will be soon bankrupt due to that....and this is their wories.
I think you can change your investigation direction, in which provide us pls the list of which brokers who say by themselves that they are NDD brokers but in fact they are market makers without license to be market makers. This will help retails traders very much to keep distance from them.
This EA from REV you know,if it be not efficient, then traders will reject it by themselves. If this EA works well, then independent from the results at myfxbook.com how it is,traders will yet purchase it.
The comments here I find actually very good,so from both sides of pro and cons. The cons side is the side which help others to develop their technique. So all comments are welcome but not every comment are appreciated...but we live in a free world with our free will to decide and chose :)
Cheers

Here's my view on things. Just to sum up.
Rev trader pro does work but is not as profitable as this account shows due to manual manipulation of the trade history at a server level, which was done to over-egg the cake for marketing purposes.
With regards to brokers, that's a separate thread in it's own right and a large discussion. The only thing I would recommend both from a trading perspective and a broker perspective is diversify.
Best regards Steve

Facts can hardly be described as negative shit, except by people who are trying to conveniently ignore them because they conflict with their desired view of the situation.
Look, at the end of the day, I'm just shining a light on what might be some crap that people are possibly going to stand in. If you want me to go away, I'm happy to do so.
Best regards Steve

With all due respect, I liked your posts and your detailed analysis. However lately all you have been doing is blabbering on every single EA out there. Any discussion forum I open, your post is there. Are you seeking attention my friend?

I'm commenting on two EA's at the moment. Keltner which I own. Rev trader pro, which I'm following as I was considering buying it and so was doing due diligence.
You know what, I retired once from analysing commercial EA's and providing my input on them. I think I'm going to do it again. Signing out. Good luck!
Best regards Steve

So many ppl here talking about cheaper EAs performing equally good or even better than this one. I've been searching the www up and down lately w/o finding one that convinced me of its perfomance in the long run. So by all means, everone knowing of a better (or equally good) EA w/o the hefty price tag, please tell me where to find it/them. Thanks!

Agree, I also wonder how much the comp pays him? There is no way any EA can be perfectly matched with every trade. Happy with 8% a month? Are you kidding me, if one averages 8% a month this 2015 by 2016 you gonna complain about this EA? That's a very sweet overall return no matter what discrepancies there are. Wow, talk about people being picky lol...

Vendors settings are clearly different that what we have, I was stopped out of the current NZD trade on 2 different accounts, however his amazingly is still open. If anyone is still in this trade please share your settings.
I had an NZDUSD trade open too which closed for a small loss. I can see the vendor still has it open as does Gwindy (a user of REV Trader Pro).
It must be related to broker and price feed. I'm with FXPro.

I am on ICMARKETS and had a small NZDUSD loss as well. Right now two sell orders of AUDUSD open for me.

That's strange then because gwindy is also with ICMARKETS so I guess her(?) trade should have closed. Will wait for her to open up her 'Open trades' section so we can compare.
I've the two AUDUSD trades open too. I'm putting it down to price feed and Doug confirmed the same, it certainly makes sense.
