I work on the rule that I never risk more than 3% of my account in any one trade. Following this has helped me keep my losses low.

I totally agree, the key is to focus on your levels of consistency. Too many focus on making a set amount and this can make you feel under pressure. I work on trying to hit between 5 & 15% in a month. Anything more than that is a bonus.
How long on a demo account

I think you shouldn't set a limit on how long you use a demo account. It should be based on your confidence and the consistency in your trading. It took me at least 6 months and even now if I have a run of bad trades I will head back to a demo to regain my confidence.

There are so many indicators out there to use. I don't tend to use a single one, many of them pair well together. MA & RSI are ones I use regularly.
Broker and regulations

For higher leverage it's worth checking out some off shore brokers. A lot of people always recommend a regulated broker & I understand their thinking but they are also very restrictive. I have used unregulated brokers with no issue. You just need to do your research.
Anyone know Zero or fixed spread broker?

Great advice there. I think it's all about finding the balance that works with your trading style. At the end of the day the brokers have to make money too. I prefer a broker that is upfront with costs, no one likes hidden charges.

I think something people underestimate when moving from a demo account to a live account is their emotional state. It becomes more stressful when trading with your actual money. Also, people can put far too much pressure on themselves to be making money straight off. The best way to discipline yourself is to treat the demo account as if it's your own money. Sounds like your methods seems to be working on the demo so start small on a live account before looking to make big profits.

No trade is ever a certainty. You need to have a good RR ratio to ensure that you minimise your risk. I only risk 1-2% of my account in any one trade. I like to keep my ratio at 1:3. Without that risk management it is too easy to blow your account or make much higher losses.

You need to keep your wits about you nowadays. It's sad how many scammers are out there. I always work on the basis that if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. There's no easy money in trading. I use forums to read reviews on brokers or account managers before I will ever part with my hard earned cash.
Manual or EA? I have done well with EA but most are scared, why?

I currently work on manual trading, I think it's good practice to have understanding of how to trade in order to use an EA. I am starting to work on EA's but it takes time to do the back testing to get the settings right to make any good money. I feel more in control when I trade manually so I think it is how I will trade going forward. Not against having an EA working in the background making a little more money though.
Do any forex brokers offer crypto deposit?

There are many brokers who allow you deposit using Bitcoin. Don't want to mention any specific ones as I am not sure if that's allowed. It's worth looking at some off shore brokers. Remember to check out reviews etc. before you deposit any funds. There are many forums out there who 'out' any scam brokers and allow you to read genuine reviews.

If used well, leverage can be very rewarding. However, there are many brokers out there that offer really high leverage options. Just because this high leverage is offered it doesn't mean you need to use it all. The truth is that you need to calculate your own risk and make an assessment of what level of leverage will bring the results you want without risking too much.

I think a stop loss is a very important tool. It's important to use it with a good risk management strategy. I do not risk any more than 2% of my account on any one trade. Also, when a trade comes into profit I move the stop loss to retain a level of those profits so I've always got pips in the bag.

100% have come to learn this, when i started out i did not understand what i was doing or how it all worked. after blowing accounts and making mistakes i learnt to get some education and learning, starting out with a basic strategy but the biggest thig was risk management only ever risking 1% and managing my losses and learning that over time will it take for my account to increase the goal now is all % based rather then $ as this makes your gains a lot clearer

at first i would have said you are right but after learning a lot more it would depend on how you describe scalping traders, see i now am what you would call an intra day trader and only trade London and New York sessions. with this i drop right down to the 1 min chart to find my entries to keep the SL tight. it could be looked at as scalping but in no way am i gambling

This is something i learned very fast but also leverage gives the small trader the ability to make decent profits along the way, its all about using risk management and SL on your positions to keep your money safe

At the start of last year I got in to trading Crypto, Whilst looking for a broker that could offer me the best deal EagleFX stood out, there leverage and amount of Cryptos was the best, after a while I found them to be faster and more reliable then my main broker I used for forex so in the end I transferred over and just had 2 accounts with EagleFX 1 for crypto and 1 for forex. Now well over a year and no issues at all and they just keep getting better.

With so many different brokers its hard to find what you are looking for. Came across LonghornFX and there platform and offer was good. after looking around i could not find any thing else that could offer me the leverage and forex and crypto all in 1 place i wanted. tested out there services for a while and was so impressed with server speed and market excretion i now do all my trading off there platform. i have now found its better to look at the markets at key times open and close switch overs and such so i am not looking at the charts all the time
