Well, I guess you just illustrated my point. From what I can see, you are on this forum for less then 1 month, are not sharing any accounts, and are talking about 20% weekly. Allow me to be skeptical, but if you can do it then great for you, talk to you next year.....if you're still around on this forum.

Lot sizing and money management are indeed very important, at least as important then choosing entry and exit. In avoiding to ever blow up your account I would dare to say it's more important. I too say start small, but not just increase willy nilly. If I can be so bold and suggest something, it would be to learn as much as you can on money management/risk management and lot sizing. A good place to start would be the book from Ryan Jones, The trading game, published by Wiley Trading. Always remember trading is a marathon. On a 10K account why not. The downside is that you may end up with a VERY large number of open trades. So even at 0.01 lots, 50 trades open still have 0.5 lots. Meaning your live account will also need to be over 10K. It would also negate any money management techniques the provider uses. This means you are assuming no MM( or lotsize mgt) is better then what they are using. If they are successful traders, they probably have a good reason to determine the lotsizes the way they do. Rixxxx, I see there is a larger then 50% open drawdown. You promote this as a managed account. Would investors not feel that a 50% open drawdown is too much risk? Do you actually have real investors on this?Also your stats are surprising: larger loss then gain, negative expectancy etc.... not sure what you are trying to gain with your earlier post. it's not that simple, everything is relative, not absolute. What I mean is, if there starts to be a probability that NZD would lower interest rates (even if it's currently high) then NZD is likely to go down versus another currency that keeps it's rate stable.If 2 currencies lower rates or are on a QE program then it's tougher to judge fundamentals (e.g. EURJPY)Best recent example is what happened to the aussie when they lowered rates. a currency's strength is highly influenced by the interest rates. e.g. now that there is talk of the US maybe increasing rates, the USD strengthens. So a lower interest rate does NOT mean the currency is stronger. If anything it is the opposite. When an economy is bad (e.g Europe) they lower interest rates, and it weakens the currency, which is many cases is what they want.

It is the interest rate the central bank charges to the local banks. So for NZD, a bank earns money when they park money at the central bank. Also, it is more expensive to borrow money. One reason they lower interest rates, is to stimulate the economy. By making borrowing cheaper they encourage investments. Have a look also at investopedia.com

You must assume that the trader has done the necessary homework, and knows why the trades are given room to breath. vontogr, agree actually the thing that was the most interesting in following accounts is only a very very few number of accounts survive 6 months or more. I also noticed that in many cases the more spectacular the growth, the more likely these accounts all of a sudden disappear. Lesson was it is not how good somebody is in winning, but how good they are in managing risk and losses.So my watch list is extremely small now. fxdimarion, some part of me understands, but not the other. If you find trading so stressful, maybe some modifications in your trading style can help more then some venting. What has helped me a lot in reducing the stress is making sure that I understand the risk of each trade and the potential drawdown of a series of losing trades. I doubt it very much, as myfxbook is all about linking a brokerage account. You don't need a real account thought, as you can connect a demo account. Any reason why a demo account would not be a solution for you?

To my knowledge, Myfxb does not show open order drawdown, only equity at the time of another order close and after synchonization. Do not accuse other people of manipulating something that is not under their own control. So I guess it is kind of accurate "at the time" of the measurement, but nobody knows what happened in between. Technically this makes sense, how could they monitor every account in real time and record all that data. They would need a data center as large as Google's.

It is usually dangerous thinking there is a limit to where a pair can go. It was at 1 at the start, so why would it not be able to go there again? Sometimes the best way to make money is to go with the other unlogical market players. At the end it is not about being right, it's about making money. I have no idea where the EUR is going, but it will all depend on the ECB plan. It also makes no sense to me to go lower then during the Greek crisis, but hey, if it is going lower then I'll be short... with extreme care of a potentially violent correction.
