@marcusobrien Yes it depends on the person. Some people learn quickly, some people take time to understand things. Also dedication for learning differ from person to person.

@Smith2525 Yes learning is a never ending journey. It never ends. Those who stop learning, they also stop progressing in the true sense. We should never stop learning.

It’s different for every person. Although to learn the basics it may only take a few weeks but you need continuous practice to hone your trading skills. It takes sometimes two or three years before you actually start seeing some positive results.
Some traders try to run before they could actually walk. However I feel that a newbie should never rush into things and take sufficient time to learn.

Hello! What sources you'd recommend for a newbie? I've been reading https://kamiltaylan.blog/ for a while, but I'd appreciate if someone advise anything more specific.

I have started my learning from babypips school of pipsology. You can go for that, everything is in understandable language. And for more advance topics you can watch youtube videos for specific topics.

babypips is ok but it will not make you a profitable trader. You will know the basics but to be profitable you will need more. More experience and more learning. Best place if other traders and forums.

The time it takes to learn Forex trading varies from trader to trader. There are several factors that are the cause of this variance. These factors are age, experience, diligence, and general ability.

Learning the theories, basics, technical analysis and fundamentals are totally different from the practical trading because Psychology and human behavior are involved.

The latter is an endless journey for every trader.

Depends on how much time you put in and how quickly you get your head around it but it’s constant learning

People can learn how to trade the forex market in as little as four days, but it can take far longer than that for a person to become truly proficient and profitable at trading. There are many different factors in a person's learning curve in currency trading, and what works for one trader may not work for another.

I placed my first trade in 2005. Second trade in 2012.. then The next trade was close r and closer until I was trading daily. Now I NEVER get it wrong on a direction. I know how to wait for my chance to get in. I now teach traders how to trade I have 32 traders that I mentor and teach. Check my posted charts.

I think it depends on your ability to grasp things, some take longer time to learn while others can learn quickly.

You cannot measure time for learning. It depends on the trader and his personality.

This in most cases depends on the trader himself, but I would plan for at least 2 months.

Learning time varies person to person. Not everyone has same understanding ability. Every person is different when it comes to learning. Some are good at some subject some are in other subjects. So there is no specific time frame.

It depends solely on your skills and abilities to learn. There are some people who can't learn at all, they're made to learn something but it's just for nothing, they anyway would never remember something. However, there are those ones who learn a lot and they remember a lot. They are able to perceive new information and absorb it like a sponge.
In this case, it may take couple of days to you to learn all the basic things in trading and start trading. In other cases, you will be learn a lot during particular period of time and you will not remember naything, you will make mistakes and you will retturn to learning again and again.
