New thread to discuss trading based on USA President Trump and the impact of the USD on markets. This is meant to replace the 'US Election' thread that has concluded.

Please remain objective. Highlight the facts, call out the falsehoods. Many traders here are not from the US and have no interest in personal political views. The market moves on facts and remains independent, having a one sided view will not help traders beat the market.

I like Trump not because he is the President. But whatever comes out of his mouth can move the market which is good for me. As he is also a business man, I'm sure he will improve the US market and thus I hope the USD will get stronger in future.

Great, though 'Trading based on USA Trump and the impact of the USD on market'

Tump policy may or may not strengthen the dollar,
But I expect dollar will roller coaster under his regime.

Thank you for making a new thread.
I don’t generally trade fundamentals, but I have a feeling I’m going to have to learn.

Great new out of the box strategy, USD will move crazy with any policy that trump announce to world

I've noticed a cyclical pattern with US presidents and the US dollar. Obama's up, Bush jr. down, Clinton up, Bush Senior down etc . My question is it a 7-year cycle called a Shmita (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shmita) or does each president have his own effect on the US dollar and it's just a coincidence up down up down.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain

That much is given, the question is in what direction it will be?

All markets are a cycle regardless, I think it has more to do with world macro economics than any single president. There literally is nothing a president can do or say that would cause a 7 year trend, the time frame is long and the factors that drive such a trend are too many.

LOL,
Dollar fell yesterday because trump fired attorney general because she ordered Justice Department lawyers not to enforce his immigration ban order,

This week we have Fed Interest Rate decision, hope he will not fire Yellen for not increasing interest rate... 😁😁😁

I do believe not so much.

Perhaps the first month, first year and half.

Then, USA will have to face the rest of the world.

I am sure that not only USD is struggling because of Trump’s changes, other currencies like EUR, GBP, CHF.. etc are not so good on the market

When Dollars is weak, other major currency tends to ride bulls, of course, fundamental of other currency also matters

The US dollar rose against the major currencies in the different currency markets, pushing down its major Forex crosses after the president's first speech.
