This EA will close losing trade. I am not sure about the DD. I think it is base on your account balance.

thanks for the great EA and hard work thats goes into it. also relay my compliment to Robert Hill.
i am very new here.
just a question: i am doing some demo on FXPro which allow 0.1 minilot using v3f.
my setting currently is GMT0ffset=2 MM=1, Lots=0.01, AccountType=2. Default setting.
will it effect the trading method? will martingale activate? it always trade on 0.1lot..
thanks and may god bless you all.

    Wackena,

First thank you for the amazing EA. Have a few questions.

Which 3 or 4 would work best for fxdd malta? And do you use IB with fxdd? I'm planning to open up live account and wanted to grab correct version of 3 or 4.

Both should work well on FXDD.
Yes, I am IB with FXDD. https://www.traderschoicefx.com/bogie.html

When EA has MaxTrades open, trade exit will be Market Stops (TP & SL) or OrderClose call if both variables DaysOpen and StopLoss2 are exceeded.

To run broker with minimum Lot Step 0.1.
To use Money Management (mm=1), set AccountType=1.
To have fixed lot size on first trade (mm=0), set Lots=0.1, mm=0, AccountType=1.

You've got an impressive equity curve - nice.

Don't you get worried on days like today when your 5K down?

You don't appear to have had a day when you get stopped out yet. What is your stop loss set to? Just wondering how much could get wiped out on a bad day.

Thanks.

Hi wakena,
First thanks for this great ea and for sharing it.
I run the version V2 with default settings (stoploss2 = 250 and daysopen = 4)on a Alpari UK classic account and got the following losses:
99308344 2010.03.18 16:12 buy 0.68 eurusd 1.36427 0.00000 0.00000 2010.03.19 10:57 1.35638 0.00 0.00 -0.35 -395.55
99316142 2010.03.18 16:20 buy 1.36 eurusd 1.36140 0.00000 0.00000 2010.03.19 10:57 1.35631 0.00 0.00 -0.69 -510.38

I noticed on your fxbook that similar positions on eurusd opened at 1.3704, 1.3672, 1.364 and 1.3608 have not been closed.
Have you any idea on why my positions were closed and not yours ?
Thanks

StopLoss=150, so a full loss would be ~25%.

I do not know why. Maybe there is clue in the experts or journal logs.

I guess that what's happening now is what they say in Hedgehog draft manual:

<quote>
It is important to use proper money management when using this technique.
Although the trades should be hedged well, if there is a strong trend in the
EURCHF there could be some drawdown. This doesn’t happen often, but it
can happen and you should be prepared if it does.

Order #99534731 was the 4th sequential trade and sl 1.35698 was set by OrderModify. This is 15 pips and should have been 150 pips. I tested v2 on Alpari demo and the SL was set 150 pips. Why yours set SL at 15 pips, I do not know. You might want to start using v3f or v4f. Also has GMT Offset.

On V4e, I see that the Stoploss2 is now 25.0, rather than 250.

Then, Control F and type in Bogie
A list of all the EAs and the Indi will appear.

StopLoss=150, so a full loss would be ~25%.

Wackena, you mentioned that a full loss would be 25%, however, it ic currently in a larger drawdown then 25% and some of the trades are in over 150 pips drawdown. Could you pls. comment on how the 150 stop works (is it only on the 3rd and 4th trades). Because 150 or 250 stop on a Martingale (say on trade #4) could wipe out more then a 150 or 250 stop on the first trade when the number of lots is smaller. Your feedback is really appreciated. Best regards.

Hi Wackena,

Thanks for sharing you knowledge and experience with us. I have another question, it might be silly :)

The GMToffset string, when do you need it? I use and UK based broker (GMT) and my PC is in GMT+1. Do i need to use V4f with GMToffset = 1?

Thanks!

Wakena, thank you for your help.
Are the following settings correct for a five digits account
- stoploss2 = 2500 (2500 for version v4)
- stoploss = 1500 (1750 for v4)
- trailingstop = 590 (720 for v4)
Bests regards
