Settings for USDCAD/USDJPY Account

    PipStarter = 31
    TakeProfit = 45
    Booster = 1.7
    Lots = 0.01
    MaxBuys = 11
    MaxSells = 11
    allowTrending = FALSE
    Rest are default
    Leverage = 1:400

Hope that helps. Are you using the Forex Hacked EA?

How to use it ?
Aug 26, 2012 at 07:59
Hailkay: If you are new to using EA's and forex trading in general I wouldn't recommend 'forex hacked' just yet, it's one of those EAs that can blow your account if you don't use the correct settings for your account size.

hi, Steven Jennel,
I am also new to use EA, what EA you recommend for newbie safe to use ?
Aug 28, 2012 at 06:03
Hi energetic,

I also use Pipjet and Megadroid (both made by the same people). They don't trade all that often. Pipjet is newer and a little more sophisticated then Megadroid. You can set your risk level on both. The trick with EAs is to be patient - use them on a demo account for a month first, familiarise yourself with the settings and how the EA behaves in different market conditions. I've almost blown my account twice with Forex Hacked by being impatient.

You are running in it on H1 or M30 chart?
Aug 28, 2012 at 07:36
I run F.H. on GBP/USD and EUR/USD H1 charts.

hi, Steven Jennel,
Thanks for your reply.
What VPS you are using ?
Aug 30, 2012 at 06:03
Actually, I'm not using a VPS. I have my computer on 24/5 and have a UPS in case of power outages. If I do go for a VPS i'll use the one my broker Vantage FX provides just as an additional back-up.

I've just started using a VPS for my EAs, wild weather has been playing havak with my internet connection.

Steven Jennel, how much startup capital for the set file u use in FH? Cos i see your max position is = 11 compare to mine only 8.
Jan 06, 2013 at 22:59
Dashisiong, I am no longer using FH. The last setting I used was max position 10 for 30k 0.1 lot, using that set file - problem was GBP/USD just had such a large movement without any decent retracement I had to manually close all trades to prevent a margin call. In hindsight if I hung in there I may have just scraped through without having to take a loss - but it could have just as easily kept going and wiped my entire account.

What lot size are you using? If I use FH again I will set it for max pos 12 or higher to allow for future big moves and lot size of around 0.02.

I ran FH on the limit of what my account could handle. I think to be safer you should give yourself plenty of breathing space in case of large moves like we've just had on the GBP/USD and be ready to increase your max open trades or close the basket manually and accept a loss.

30k at 1:300 leverage = 10 max (possible) trades at 0.1 lots with the standard settings (45 TP, 31 Pip Start, 1.7 boost) which worked fine until we had that 370 pip sudden downward move. Really I needed 60k for those settings and that move, or starting lot of 0.05 or less.

Actually I am using 32 for pipstart. Not much difference compare to yours. I am following jayman set file. MM is $3000 for 0.02 lot in micro account. Max open is 8 and leverage is 1000 for cents account. This setting do work but cannot stay alive during this new year holiday! how about your SL? Mine is 250 pips. My account just blown on 6/1/2013 but i believe it workable for this setting if we skip from 15/12 till 15/01 everytime.

30k at 1:300 leverage = 10 max (possible) trades at 0.1 lots with this setting?
Jan 14, 2013 at 11:27
Dashisiong, yes 30k at 1:300 X = 10 max trades at 0.1 lots with the above settings - but that is obviously too aggressive as I took a 40% loss. I don't use a SL, when it reached max trade level and then kept going I just closed all the trades manually so as to not loose the entire account if the move continued against me.

1000 X leverage will definitely help with 3k at 0.02 lot.
I've started FH again but only 0.01 lot for 18k 400 X leverage 12 max open (I might up the lot size now). Yes, good idea to turn it off over 15/12 - 15/01, at least we know now! Do you think 8 max open is enough? That will cover a move of 256 pips with 32 pipStarter - that massive downward move we just had was 370 pips.

I just have a new ideas with FH.
It is shared by one of my friend.

He have 2 FH running at the same time.
One account is using very small capital and let it run.
One is his main account.

When the small acocunt hit level 6 and above....the main big account start from there as level 1...
He say by using this method, he can win more constant in his main big account....

Hope you understand what i say...English not my main language sorry!
Feb 13, 2013 at 02:19
Your English is fine :-)
That will definitely help reduce drawdown on the main account. For me and my account size the risk of using FH is just too much. One thing I've learned is never think it can't happen - for example: never think GBP/USD won't have a 400 pip move without a retracement. So I'm no longer using any EAs which use grid and or martingale. I've just started using Forex Invest Bot and Universal MA Cross EA. That way I figure as I grow my account I can more safely increase lot sizes, without the fear of having a huge blowout (like I've had twice in the past)
