Hi Herden
It is runing on this account, but with another EA and a Signal service;
https://www.myfxbook.com/members/WayneO/gomarkets/2441071

Below is an extract of the trades from FXCharger for this month. As noted in an earlier post, this EA is slow and it is a martingale, but only goes 4 positions agaonst the trend with some serious multiplying, but so far so good for me.

The drawdown on the account is no way connected with the EA, it is from a bad call for JPY from the signal service.

Thanks Wayne!

So just for me to know, how can I isolate the trades you are making with Fxcharger from your other EAs, signals, manual trades?

Thanks

Hi Herden
Unfortunatly you cant with the current system. It would mean me having to open my trades to all and that is then where people would start to copy my trades. While I dont sell a signal service on this site, I do have a service elsewhere and I would not like to have that compromised by any of my test accounts as some trades are replicated.
I am however happy to show you the trades as I have below or save them to excel and post on a weekly basis if that will help?
Sorry
Wayne

It's amazing what you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit.

Current update as at the time of this post with two open trades, cancelling each other out at around £3.98.

BTW, I think there's a lot of interest in FXCharger -and from what I see- your experience as well with this group of EA traders:

Maybe you want to share your thoughts with them as well?

You are welcome to share any comments I make here with that forum. 😄
Right now I have a few forums I am a member of and am pretty sure I do not have the time to get involved in a forum discussion regarding this EA.
Fact is, given what I know now and even though this EA has been profitable till now on my test account, I would not purchase it if it presented itself again.
It is just too slow to realise profits for me, but having said that, given what I have seen to date and if I was in my 20's, I'd buy this EA, put it on a £1000 account, leave it alone to compound for 30 years and my retirement would be sorted trading lot size set by % of equity?

And to the people out there that continually shout martingale, this will at some stage have losses, agreed, but the current version in it's configuration should not ever kill your account.

I have found that the best solution is to have a range of EA's that have different styles of strategies to help with the equity curve, so long as they have proved at first in a true backtest to have a chance and then on a LIVE demo, from there I would then go Live.
IS true what Waynes said with the setting to set a risk on your account this would not blow up your account but could erode over time possibly if it continually had the losing jumps. I currently have 4 EA's that I have happily gone live with and run another 5 including FX Charger on Live Demo's. All EA's are backtested before wasting my time and efforts on Live testing.
I also hav e1 I have my eye on but that is for the future if I decide to go ahead with the purchase of it.

Like Wayne says Charger is slow due to the length its trades can be open for and the lot sizes due to the fact it is a martingale type, BUT you can customize your settings to get away from that if preferred which is better than some EA's I have seen where those options aren't available.

Cheers
Greg

Hi Greg, can you say what EAs you are using successfully, and which one you have your eye on?

Also thanks of discussion. Is the account owner replying?

This is easy why not showing result in myfxbook. Because the vendor stopped updating!!!

Don't waste your money on risky money management strategy such as Martingale because in Short-term It is possible to do well with martingale over a short number of trades but Long-term means account destruction. Eventually, you will hit a losing streak that will wipe you out. It may happen in the first week, or it may take a few months or a few years. Rest assured, it will happen. It is a mathematical certainty.

Now vendor stops updating myfxbook account if he will lucky he may recover his loss but another losing streak he will be out of business.
The market will trade through it’s path of least resistance .

I guess expanding my original question is to ask if Autolot=true the first trade size will start at a calculated lot, there is no other setting for this just calculated internally? or its always starts with 0.01 lots??
Do I understand the Maximum Risk setting is only for the SL? or is that connected to the initial lot size calculation??
(confuse)

Did the vendor stop myfxbook but same account is on signalstart?? (he is not commenting here)

Also it seems like it opening opposite trades at the same time these days, is that normal as per other users' experience?

cheers
Stead

Hey all
Forget this ea, the day come to loose around 7000$ third of the balance so the risk is always greater than the rewards

I don't want to defend the ea, as I'm also just a user.

The lotsizes in the myfxbook didn't change.
And my account is healthy.

The max risk controls the stop loss, not the lot size
i.e. lower risk setting equals higher chance to loose.
So 100% risk means lower risk to have loosing trade, but if you have it will be final.

If risk equal 100, you will loose all your fund
If the risk is 50 , you will loose half of your fund
If the risk is 10, you will loose tenth of your fund
If the risk is 1, you will loose 1% of your fund
And the risk is always greater than the reward so this ea is bad
So take care

Profits are too slow with this EA, I have removed it from my live test account and will therefore not be following this thread any longer.
Good luck folks.

Sorry if you’re u think I should find out through experimentation,
but can anyone tell me?
I think now that EA on Automatic lot size setting, will always start initial trade
on 0.01; 0.1; or 1.0, depending on balance, is that correct?
Or is the Manual lot setting only way to change the starting lot?
Or is the Manual lot place to select 0.01;0.1 (microlot, minilot or lot) etc for start?

Not looking for amateur answers! And btw does anyone now if this is on fxblue??
