Little help here. Every once in a while MDP does not give me 'speed line' in my on-screen stats. Everything else is there just none of the times for opening, execution...etc....the whole line is just missing. Anyone else have this problem? I did not get the 1-2 trades that almost everyone else got today. Thought it might have something to do with it. The EA IS running. Thanks in advance.
It sounds like your mt4 is restarting or something is resetting you connection. Mind you, this is only a guess. i have never had this occur.

I have had some 'WARNING: offset overflow:3296 period:1' errors (with different numbers each) in the Experts-Tab. The Journal itself and the debug text show no errors.
I don't know, what these errors mean, are they serious?

No, according to my research and experience MDP will still trade after this error occured. I also had this error when I started trading a new account. It seems to be an error of an internal indicator.

Be patient. Where is your VPS / the pc you are running MDP on located? A low latency increases MDPs trading frequency because it can catch signals better.

@sachinsyd your attitude is annoying, spamming this topic with requests and demanding answers. Free VPS, sure. Good luck finding one. They don't cost much (starting at ~65$ / year).
If your PC is based in sydney we may have the reason for your issue, as the latency from australia to NY (where the trading servers of IBFX and IBFX AU are based) may not be the best. A VPS based in the USA would be the best solution then.

@eddie Mate listen I never thought that this thread was for anything but to discuss MDP performance, issues and personal experience. If you find my post annoying please don't bother replying. Thanks for what u suggested anyways. 😲

It is, but you should research and think for yourself too. If you had done that you wouldn't have asked me to search a free VPS for you, why should anyone give their VPS away for free?
This attitude (let others hand everything to you on a silver platter) is annoying.

IBFX has two VPS companies they recommend that have very low latency. They are a bit more expensive than other services but they are very close to their datacenters so the latency is very low.
If you are using a demo account the results will be far different than a live account. I would suggest you use a live account and set the risk very low. In this way you can 'tweak' your settings until you are happy with them without risking much capital.

@sachinsyd----if you are with IBFX, contact them and ask them to recommend some VPS providers to you. They will because they offer discount with a few very good VPS providers. Pick on of those and go live. You will be set.....make sure to set the number of orders to 4 or less and group orders to true or you will not have as good of luck with it.

No trades at IBFX(AU) today at NFP! 😭
2 independent trades at 2nd broker for a gain of 1.6 %, 1 trade at third, but loss of 0.5%!
Very strange.
Who else is sharing some results? Thanks.
Cheers

He got trades at IBFX, at similar times as I had at my 2nd broker:
https://www.myfxbook.com/members/oldchartreader/oldchartreader/247371
During those times spread was 2.7 and 2.6 maximum and 1.8 on average on IBFX. The spike in spread was earlier.
Oh well, no trade means also no loss, at least.
Good weekend everybody!
Cheers

A word from an insightful insider. Version 3.87 of Metaquotes Trade manager (nicknamed 'the slug') was issued to participating brokers on 29 Oct 2011 to defeat MDP and a couple of other lesser known scalpers. It works via recognition of accounts utilizing these EA's and injecting a flux spread into trade sequences that creates mayhem with the MDP modus operandi in particular.
Metaquotes always responds eventually to overtures from brokers for measures to defeat EA's that are affecting their bottom lines. ThinkForex was one of the first brokers to adopt anti-MDP measures, but soon widened their policy as the benefits became apparent. They are now one of the worst execution delay brokers to be found. Ultimately they will reap the whirlwind in loss of clientele.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, however those optimistically and stoically pressing on with MDP and the 'free' EA Forex AutoScalper (to name but two being targeted) - well they are pushing excrement up a steep incline and brokers universally say 'thank you' for your persistence. MT4 is a bad EA platform simply because it is so vulnerable to broker intervention via provision to brokers of bespoke interventionist tools. Refund while you can - or just shelve it.
