Chile IMACEC Economic Activity YoY
Monthly Economic Activity Indicator IMACEC is a Chilean index that aggregates the performance of several economic sectors in a particular month, with the goal of forecasting future changes in the country's gross domestic product (GDP). A number of IMACEC supply metrics are included in the computation, as are certain assumptions in the lack of direct monthly data, which are weighted according to the share of economic activity in GDP during the past year. Agriculture and forestry, fishing, mining, manufacturing, electricity, natural gas, water, construction, commerce, restaurants, and hotels, transportation, communications, financial intermediation, business services, housing services, education, health, other services, and public administration are some of the economic activities. As of 2008, the index has a base value of 100.
