When comparing year-over-year changes in house prices in 70 medium and major cities, the Chinese Housing Index is used to calculate the country's overall housing market.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CNY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CNY.

China Keeps Interest Rates Unchanged
The People's Bank of China maintained its interest rates unchanged for the second straight session on Friday. The PBoC maintained its one-year loan prime rate at 3.10 percent. Similarly, the five-year LPR, the benchmark for mortgage rates, was retained at 3.60 percent. The move was widely expected.
