Greece Inflation Rate YoY
Among the most significant categories in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Greece are: food and non-alcoholic beverages (17% of total weight), transportation (13%), housing (12%), and hotels, cafes, and restaurants (11% of total weight). Aside from these, the index includes clothing and footwear (9%), health (7%), furniture and houseware (7%), entertainment and culture (5%), and communication (5%). The remaining 14% of the overall weight includes alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and other commodities and services.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

French Private Sector Downturn Deepens
France's private sector registered a deeper contraction in February as the drag from the service sector intensified, survey results from S&P Global revealed Friday. The HCOB flash composite output index dropped unexpectedly to 44.5 in February from 47.6 in January. The score signaled the steepest fall since September 2023. The reading was seen at 48.0.
