Senegal Industrial Production YoY
Industrial production in Senegal is a measure of the output of businesses that are part of the country's industrial sector of the economy. The most important industry in the world is manufacturing, accounting for approximately 81% of total output. Food (which accounts for 41% of total production), chemicals (17% of total production), and construction materials are the three most important segments in the manufacturing industry. Utilities such as electricity and water account for 14% of total production and mining accounts for the remaining 4%.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the XOF while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the XOF.
