United Kingdom GDP Growth Rate YoY
After Germany, the United Kingdom has the sixth-largest economy in the world and the second-largest economy in Europe. The following are the largest segments within Services: government, education, and health (19% of total GDP), real estate (12%), professional, scientific, and technical activities and administrative and support services (12%), wholesale and retail trade (11%), and financial and insurance (8%). In terms of GDP, industry accounts for 21% of the total, with the main segments being manufacturing (10%) and construction (6%). While the agriculture sector accounts for just 1% of the country's GDP.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the GBP while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the GBP.

UK Jobless Rate Rises, Wage Growth Remains High
The UK unemployment rate rose slightly in the third quarter and wage growth remained high but falling vacancies suggests a decrease in pay pressures, official data showed on Tuesday. The unemployment rate rose to 4.4 percent in the September to November period, as expected, from 4.3 percent in the three months to October, the Office for National Statistics revealed.
