I have multiple accounts at different brokers and I'm using ftp publishing to upload my transactions history to myfxbook. I'm trying to keep a robust history of my accounts for tax purposes, but my brokers can't guarantee keeping the transactions history indefinitely.

What will happen to myfxbook account history if my broker deleted part (or all) of my account history? Will myfxbook keep the existing history and merge the new transactions? Or will the myfxbook account history get deleted as well?

If it'll get deleted on myfxbook, any advice on how to conveniently keep all my transactions history?

Any reason not to use any of the following :-

1. Daily/monthly statements sent by your broker.
2. Print a statement from the terminal.

I don't receive statements from all my brokers.

Printing a statement from the terminal seems like a good fallback solution. I could also manually keep track of my monthly stats in a spreadsheet. It's just more tedious to do that for 10 accounts. It'll even be more tedious to perform any sort of analytics.

It'll be much more convenient for me if there's a service that can do that. Myfxbook provides all the information that I need, and it would solve my problem if it can keep my history even if my broker deleted it.

Still open to other suggestions that can scale for multiple accounts without a significant manual overhead :)

I do believe that your account history should be saved here on myfxbook (this is how it should be) – but cannot guarantee that. Maybe you should wait for some administrator to confirm that to you. Good luck!

just received the following response from support

'We never remove history, your account will include your older data even if it was removed by your broker.'

So yes – I was thinking the same. That is easier for the traders because here you can save all your history no matter how many different brokers or platforms you use. Good job to Myfxbook!

Dont worry MFB will keep history even if broker deletes it.
But dont delete your account on MFB.

I guess the brokers should not simply delete any history but archive and store it somewhere. Maybe you can check with these brokers if they have such an option, so that even if deleted from the terminal, the history is stored online where you can access it with account credentials.

one my brokers explicitly told me that keeping the history is best effort and can not be guaranteed

Well this explanation is simply not enough. They shouldn’t be deleting any history of trading. Most traders are using the history when developing their strategy. Why are you still with this broker?

I'm from the US. Beggars can't be choosers.
I basically have accounts with all ECN brokers and that offer the basic features that I need and that accept US clients... all 4 of them...

Tallinex does not accept US clients anymore.
The list is here: https://forums.babypips.com/forex-brokers/36221-going-offshore-escape-cftc.html

The 4 brokers I have accounts with are TradeWiseFx, FinproTrading, TradersWay and FXChoice.

I have very good experience with TradersWay. Never had any problem with them. Regulation ehm sucks.

Do you expect this will change with Trump?

I certainly hope so! In fact, I'm very optimistic. The new CTFC chair appointed by Trump has a very promising philosophy:

hink you should look for ways to back up your history also in another format or platform apart from Myfxbook. After all, you are most interested in keeping that track record complete.
You must be connected to Myfxbook in order to leave a comment
