@aeronthomas , we do care about any illegal activity so what you have stated is incorrect. I've forwarded your request to the dev team to try and push this feature forward.

And as explained to you, this feature will not necessarily identify scammers so you shouldn't count on it as a tool to identify ones.

This day is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S. This day is bananas!

I am so excited about this. I am positive this will chase away so much bad and invite the good..

Why don't you focus on TRADING, and making MONEY instead of making recommendations on how to deter scams.

The reality is a person is attracted to a persons profile or link based on their results. If a person decides to invest, then that is the risk they take, and should a person be blocked or banned due to it, in no way shape or form is it a scam. You guys need to focus on your own accounts, and stop trying to police something which can not be fixed.

@HolyGrailPTY
I posted here earlier and a whole lot of threads were deleted (not sure why) but let me try again.

I copied and pasted this from another thread :

'I was expecting a comment like that..I really don't care much for it., I am quite content with my system. Only a person whose fraudulent income I hamper would post something like that.

Let me spend a minute and educate you about my system.

It is a medium term strategy +/- 6 months.
I only started it in September this year - the system will have a lot of small losers and few a good winners - at the moment you only see the negative gain produced by the losers. So far the system is up +/-13k in floating pips and +/-$800 up in equity, which almost covers the losses. But as I say, the system is still young and may still need a couple of months.
I only have to intervene once a week, but monitor it a lot here on myfxbook - also like to be updated with news events that might affect the currencies I trade.

So in essence I have a lot of time each day to come here and expose scammers.'

You know, one might think you are one of the scammers, posing as an innocent trader with the pro-scammer attitude that you have.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I have always been under the impression that if a trader posts his strategy - he puts his system on the table for a 'discussion' (the name of the button) he then answers questions about his system, like why is it unverified/demo etc. Lately if you ask a question, or make a statement, you get blocked - this strongly suggests that the trader is hiding something - and 99% of the time this is the case..Lately it has become extremely easy to forge details of your system (with the help of unscrupulous brokers) and then flog it here. Some people pick up on this and ask questions/make statements.
This is not even defended anymore, the poster just quickly goes and blocks - or even blocks certain traders before they could even ask questions. Is this normal practice in your opinion?

BTW, how did you arrive on that name? Anticlimax of note, one thinks ..hey, here is an interesting trader and click on your name and just see two rookie accounts that screams 'I will not be here for much longer' - you need to change the name boet, it is very misleading..

I have not even commented. It's obvious that this persistent scammer is keeping a list of those who have the guts to warn others about his scam and the fact these arbitrage systems don't work on real brokers / real accounts. I have alerted Admin, but no action has been taken as yet.

The question is, how do you know it is a scam to begin with? Just because a person post his or her stats, then happens to blow the account doesn't make it a scam. I really think you guys should focus more on your own trading, and stop trying to be the police of myfxbook.

I agree. The problem is that there are a group of people who assume themselves as the owner of myfxbook and they feel uncomfortable when someone blocks them from posting in their system discussion. Hence, they claim that system as scam.

Since those people(mostly losers) don't have a profitable system and they have to do something else and hence, they love to post negative comments in a discussion when someone shows a good profitable system. When they are blocked, they can't accept that because they feel that it is their right to post comments in every thread.

Really @fxboste ? And several million % profit on demo - is just a 'good profitable system' for you?

Let me tell you.. Big financial institutions are happy if they can make above 15% returns on their investments.
When a negative comment is made, it gives the poster a chance to either answer earnestly why whatever is so.. those who can't, are quick to press the block button, to avoid such questions - which is a very typical scam move...
You are viewing it completely wrong..Traders with negative accounts don't pick on traders who advertise and have positive accounts. Most of the time, such adverts are very unbelievable and unfortunately forex has become the playground for scammers.

But it will be futile to try and get you to think like the majority. Like when you are raised a thief..in your opinion it will always be right to do so, because you were raised in such a way - it will be very hard for you to wake up and smell the coffee.

your comments sounds very funny when i look at your profile. you have total 3 accounts in myfxbook and all in loss and you are talking about someone else who made 2 million % and also talking about % return of big institutions. You should first ask yourself as how much you made and if not then, you should feel ashamed before even commenting anything positive or negative about any system.

is it mandatory to answer a comment in myfxbook, obviously not!! There might be some reason why someone blocks a user after a comment.not necessarily because he is a scammer.

i am not arguing that someone is scammer or not. but since there are a group of people who just keep on posting comments which have no value or no solid proof, the recent topic in myfxbook is just full of assumptions of a group of losers who just write whatever they feel like.

myfxbook is a place to analyse, discuss and share trading tips and trading systems, not a place to write what someone thinks about someone else system...if someone has proof like payment proof that he has got scammed, then i think myfxbook support will take action.

I thought it would have helped post my argument here for participating even though my system is relatively new and in the negative. Here it is AGAIN in case someone like this guy wants to use that as ammo..

'I was expecting a comment like that..I really don't care much for it., I am quite content with my system. Only a person whose fraudulent income I hamper would post something like that.

So bottom line, I am still very happy with my system.(if I had to close all my positions on all accounts their equities would be in the green)But yes, it is in the red, because it is relatively new and the system will dictate when to close my positions..
But this thread is not about defending my strategy, it is rather to help others identify a scam and steer clear.
It is because of comments like these that other traders take a back seat in identifying scammers and that scammers can advertise their wares as freely as they like.

Judging purely by the amount of posts you have contributed and that you have absolutely nothing to show, leads me to believe that you are one of the known disgruntled scammers.

If I am right (which I think I am) I would just like to say to you:

YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED HERE.

A big thanks to admin who have decided they will implement the block count feature. This bodes well for differentiating to newbies the vendors who are willing to discuss their systems, and those operating arbitrage / scam systems on demo accounts that will never work on reputable brokers on real accounts. The only ones complaining will be the ones who support scammers. This has been the most useful thread in exposing fake systems and vendors to stay away from.

confirmed blocked in Aggressive Scalping Robot's thread after I pointed out that even the broker he's using for live account FxGlory doesn't allow trades under 7 minutes considered illegal scalping (this is because they are a money maker bucket shop broker trading inhouse). So no way they will ever pay out profits on an arbitrage system. These brokers typically have a slightly slower datafeed than the ecn brokers who are connected to the liquidity providers as they are passing trades through a dealing desk or using virtual dealer plugin and trading against their clients. This allows arbitrage systems to work, it's why you won't see these accounts work on ASIC or FCA regulated brokers on live accounts. Of course the vendor chooses to ignore my points raised and instead just blocks you. So be warned don't be scammed out of $2,000 by buying his scam system.

Fits right in with a post we done recently about dodgy vendors.

Quote;

Bad – Projecting High Monthly Gains on Very Limited Data

This is when people take only a couple months data and then use it to project what the gains month after month for a lot time will be.
Let’s say for example in month one 40% was made in very aggressive trading and then then next month 60% was made.

The monthly average here is 50% but to use this two months of history to then project 50% a month gains is rather ridiculous.

The amount of managed accounts that do well for 3 months or so and then go bad is unbelievable and a couple really good months to start can happen.

(The thing you do not see if the ones that bust on day one or two, they ones are not advertised)

While at least showing some sort of results these are bad because it is really telling you that the manager of the account does not have a good understanding of averaging/probability. A couple months data is nowhere near enough to try to get any idea of what future results may be like.

If we are talking about paypal dispute, you need to be smart.
Don't mention anything about electronic item or intangible goods, because in that case you will lose your money.

Keep mention, that you expected to receive shipment, but seller haven't even provided tracking number etc.
Word against word.
The most probably seller will try to say that: 'buyer lied', but at such occasions, PayPal will stay at buyer side and you will get money back.

Just be creative and write good and believable story.
It's the only way how to fight such scammers.
