MetaTrader 4 Issues

These issues have been haunting me for some time now. I've tried resolving them by talking with my broker as well as the producer of the EA and no one seems able to help me.
Perhaps I can get some help from this forum.

So I got an MT4 trading platform and new demo account with the broker Forex Broker Inc.
I 'think' I started a new account portfolio for this account here on myfxbook.

FIRST ISSUE:
I was confused about starting that portfolio because I didn't know what selection to make about what KIND of account to make. So I picked MetaTrader 4 (Publisher). That seemed to work because now it shows my trading history and the graph showing the progress and so forth. I just wanted to set up the most basic journal thing from myfxbook as possible and it seems like this is a bit more complicated then I had expected..

Anyways, I had my account linked with my MT platform the way it explained and even got the 'Publisher: Starting' and 'Publisher: ok' messages in the Journal tab of my trading terminal.
That brings me to my...

SECOND ISSUE:
The 'Publisher: Starting' and 'Publisher: ok' message keeps repeating itself EVERY TWO MINUTES all day long...
Why does it keep doing that? No one seems to have an answer for this.

THIRD (possible) ISSUE:
I am only getting one or two trades out of the 27-35 trades that the main EA producer is actually taking. He also doesn't know why that is.
Could it be because of the second issue that's causing this?
