Dear Forex 21
Can you explain how you control the risk with this MG system which might make it safe to use?
You also say you will refund if buyer is not happy with the performance? Is there a time limit on the refund as I cannot see it on your web site?

@eogorfx
The risks are controlled by reasonable lot increasing and distances between the orders, and possibility to hedge the positions.
All 6-year tests confirm the stability of the concept behind the EA, plus we have been running the system for more than a year on live accounts, and we didn't have any major issues during this period.
As for the refund guarantee, it is not based on the performance. All purchases are protected with time limited money back guarantee, more info can be viewed here: https://www.forex21.com/terms-and-conditions

Hello egorfx, the risk exposure of this basket was less than 4 or 5% percent. Personally I would not call it 'massive exposure'. Anyway, it all depends of the personal definition of acceptable risk.

Hi Alexander,
From looking at the trade history, TP of 60 pips and spacing of 30 pips is very Envy like basket building tech. Also see baskets being built on both Buy and Sell side. Correct?
What is the investment gearing (min investment required to support a maxed out basket) related to leverage, number of pairs traded and starting lot size?
Does the EA support compounding / increasing the lot size as the balance grows? If so does an increased balance only effect the lot size of the level 1 trade or does it allow larger lot sizes of new trades added to already built baskets?
How does the Hedging work? At what level of basket growth does it kick in? It is automatic to open and close hedge or manual like Envy is how doing?
What happens when a basket is maxed out?
Can each pair be assigned a set % of the balance such that if one pair maxes out a basket and dies, it will not MC the entire account?
Will you post the manual?
Regards,
Phil

Hello FxPhil, thank you for your interest. To your questions:
TP levels are fixed values but can be different for every level. Spacing between levels depends on the market conditions. As example: The EA will open a new buy position when the price is oversold. We found that it helps to keep draw downs low and helps to archive a smooth equity curve.
It depends very much of the start lots and the maximum number of levels. With small start lots, 75-100$ per currency pair/instance is enough.
No, the actual version does not support compounding.
Hedging values can be set to different values for each level. Also the start level is adjustable. When the hedge feature is enabled (optional), hedge positions will be automatically placed by the EA.
If a SL is set for the last level the basket will be closed by SL. If no SL value is set the basket will be kept open until the user closes the basket manually or in the worst case the basket will be closed by the broker. (Margin Call)
It's not supported by the settings but it is something what can be done manually.
No, sorry. The manual includes very detailed description about all parameters and how all functions and features work together. To make sure (or at least decrease the chance) that another developer reverse engineer the system, the manual is only available for clients.
Regards, Alex

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the reply and answers.
Once a Hedge is opened by the EA, what happens next? Does the EA manage the Hedge & basket close? If so how?
Is there an option to use SLs when a trade is opened?
For GBPUSD, start lot size 0.01, levels 15, spacing 30 pips & leverage 500 what would be the total DD (Open + Floating Margin in use)?
Regards,
Phil

The hedge trade will be managed by the EA and closed together with the basket.

Yes.

The EA does not use a fixed value for spacing. New trades will be placed within a predefined range when the price is oversold (buy) or overbought (sell). With start lots of 0.01, the total DD should be not greater than 20%.

Problem with a hedge is that it also can turn against you. The hedge must have a built in limiter or its a bad trade also.

Hello Professor53,
there is a built in limit but as you mentioned, hedge trades can under some circumstances be harmful.

200 will be enough on a standard account for all pairs except GBPUSD. To run the EA on GBPUSD as well, you will need to use a micro or cent account (assuming that you want to use low deposit) or use a modified set file.

I just saw that I answered your question incorrect. 200 USD will be ok if you run the EA on a cent or micro account. On a standard account with 100k lots, deposit needs to be higher.
