Damn!! Just arrived in Poland and got a connection to find that EUR/USD moved to within 5 pips of TP on all shorts this morning - back to huge DD and 100 pips adrift... Well done @paulrozza, btw - bet you're relieved :)
The real issue is that I logged into the VPS and was met by an authentication dialogue, presumably due to a reboot ('though I've yet to confirm) - seems the much-vaunted 'auto login' didn't. Will be contacting support, but just checking: has anyone else on v1.89 had this happen (or have I misunderstood this feature)?

I'm relieved, got both my longs and shorts out. Now got new long and short baskets going on but pfft, $17 in the cart is nothing compared to the $~800 I've been seeing.
Can't believe I started this trading two pairs on a $1500 account - with the closing of those albatross baskets TomsEA has undone all the damage the other EAs I tried did to the account and got it back to where it started ($2000) and I've added that much again, now trading just the EURUSD on level 1 on a $4k account and now that I've seen what happens when the market runs almost but not quite 600 pips from the original entry without a decent pullback that's plenty enough risk for me !
It's been a *very* good lesson in sitting on hands doing nothing (apart from ensuring there is adequate equity in the account) and letting the EA get on with getting itself out of the merde, which it did quite nicely. Again.

Sorry to hear that statman.
My eur usd basket closed this morning. I only have the gbp running at the mo and been out all day. Just got back to see one trade as closed at -600 pips, and DD on this one trade at 48%. Must have missed some news I think. At least i'm now not sweating on two pairs.
It's ironic in that after sweating for days about the eur usd trade, when it closed this morning for a small profit, it as now gone due to one trade reaching - 600 pips. At least we fight for another day.

Thanks chrissav, live to fight another day. Riisk levels back to 1 on eur/usd gbp/usd and eur/gbp. Going to take a long time to recover but we will see how effective this EA is in recovering from big losses. Moving some capital over to my offshore account and its 400:1 leverage.

On hindside,
Since this a/c here could survive the rides till now,
just to follow the leverage, a/c size, RL & pairs like this account
- that should be the max at full throttle.
Then again, would euro-zone survive longer than our a/c?
getting by with less in risk would be the best (for our heart) from now on.
We'll also have this a/c as a buffer and it'll be our 'call-to-action' alert base on what we've seen for this few days.
either be safer; or stand ready for further 'bail-out' *touch wood*,,,

Yeah, me too statman, but at least you're still in the game, as you say. I caught my account in the nick of time and did what I believe paulrozza did - bunged in some additional equity to shore it up. Hopefully there's now enough there to ride this to a sizeable reversal, if it comes in time...
Picking up on chrissav, ravenlok and others: the EA seems to have done its job for the most part. Although some of us seem to still be exposed on EUR/USD, and many of us on Cable, I think there are some excellent points being made here and some good learning out of all this adversity, particularly Julian's idea of a TS. Let's hope Dustin and the crew take some of this onboard.

Yeah, me too spratrbo. Dunno about you, but that was my first experience of a stop with TEA.
Can I ask all those of you who had EUR/USD baskets closed out by the EA, at what price was the exit (if you're happy to share that info)? The reason I ask is that I'm still trying to determine whether the EA was actively managing my trades this morning - my TP from yesterday's close was (and still is) 1.30210. Appreciate this is a bit arbitrary, but feedback would be useful and appreciated.
Cheers.

Hi My eur usd basket TP was 1.3032, likewise first experience of a trade hitting stop loss. Was relieved about the eur/usd this morning, only to return this afternoon with the gbp /usd going great guns and DD at 50%. Cant wait to put this one to bed and start again just on the eur/usd.

I have two live accounts running (different brokers). Agonizingly both missed the eurusd TP by the smallest of margins. First one had TP of 1.30272 when market turned at 1.30275 (so close!!) and the other had a TP of 1.30229 which also missed the turn at 1.30270. Those few pips are hurting me now!

Pocketguy - correct, I added more equity to my MT4 accounts (Tradency closed out the EUR baskets as it's TP was closer and got hit so no need to add more margin there). It is clear that trading pairs that are correlated should be done so at the lowest risk setting with a decent amount of margin per pair - no questions asked! Whilst it was nice to see nearly 30% growth in my first month (running risk at the highest recommended settings) I can now see that it can easily go the other way as we are evidencing.

All I can say is what Dustin has said in the past - run as few pairs as possible at the lowest risk setting to remain in the game. This EA does work but it needs the room to breathe to do it. I want to be able to survive these times of extreme drawdown and if I have to lose a little, so that I can win it back and more over the coming months.
By the way, I like many others missed the TP on my 2 x MT4's and am suffering the same fate watching this thing like a hawk...not really what I wanted to be doing but I only have myself to blame for going in at higher risk settings (again not above recommended levels) but this is what the market can do to you.

Hi Guys,
I am still evaluating this EA, but keep in mind this is a mere 600 pip movement taking place.
I urge you all to zoom out to the Daily chart on EURUSD, and see that a 600 pip movement in one direction is normal and takes place fairly often.
True safety is looking back to 2008 and in between notice the 2000+ pip movement. And all the ~1000 pip movements in between - no retrace.
IMHO, one pair, $10K, RISK =1 (0.01 lots) should be the minimum with another $20K ready to dump in straight away if need be.
I believe forex trading should be boring, if not, then my risk is too high.

You must be the seller of another marvellous EA with comments like that, and I concur with chrissav - this EA is up net 30% since November when I started running it and it is the only consistent winner out of 8 EA's I run (and have run).

hahaha, guys you make me laughing all the time I read these comments. The developer introduced this product with so many errors and negligences and all of you appear to be like beta testers :):):). Very funny, I'm so happy I gave up this EA just after it's been introduced to market, at least I saved a lot of money
You make me laugh because you've missed out on 30% profits, I think your nickname is exceedingly appropriate. 😁
By the way, in case you hadn't noticed - we're here to work out the kinks and help each other to run this EA in the most optimised, low risk fashion as possible so we all make money. Caring is sharing dude.

my eurusd basket (8 level) closed with loss $-131.51. at 08:57 today. Littlemax, paulrozza. are you guys using tradency? I am wondering it may not a good idea for everyone to take same trade at same time from same broker, which may increase slippage and chance to be manipulated. I also noted wpfxlive from myfxbook become track records NOT verifiefd.

Closed out on 8 eurusd sells for net gain of $57, largest lot size I had was 0.30 trading risk level 2 on this pair - relief at last!!
Still stuck with gbpusd but at least it's pulled back a long way enough to get in on 2 buy trades so if it shoots back up there's still some cash to be made. Equity back up to 87% from low of 72% - UK PMI out 1.5 hrs might sort out gbpusd one way or other. Hope a few others got out of the euro.
I still believe tom's ea is good ea and play valuable roles in my trading, but require different mentality and manage skills from those when we are trend trading.

drsong123 - yes I am using Tradency and my EUR basket closed here for a small gain. My 2 x MT4's however did not and those trades continue to run.

I agree that this EA requires a different mentality and management skills to trend trading. I am repeating myself here - low risk, decent equity - per pair.
Unfortunately, EA's are supposed to be left to run 100% of the time and do well in trends and tend to fail if trends continue on and on. This is why risk factor is vitally important - but again, nothing can be done if a trend continues on for 2000pips.
