The bullish pattern has a long bullish candle, followed by another one which gaps over the previous one, followed by a bearish candle the opens below the close of the previous candle (gapping down) and has a low below the close of the 1st candle.
The bearish pattern has a long bearish candle, followed by another one which gaps below the previous one, followed by a bullish candle the opens above the close of the previous candle (gapping up) and has a high above the close of the 1st candle.
