I trade the weekly time-frame so here's my long-term view on gold. I'm long gold from 1,200 and gonna hold it for the next 5 years. A 50% (around 950) correction is very common in gold. So if you can hold it for the next 3 or 5 years it won't disappoint you. Remember it's still a safe heaven. I suggest to buy it from a cheaper price something close to 1k.

I am glad to see this discussion is alive,
primarily I wanted to gave very short term prediction but it does not matter:)

Nothing here since 20 JAN -- but which year?? 2012, 2013 or 2014.

I did not see the video,
but there is so much doomsayers that at least one is sometimes right :)

Thanks Pro Trader and Forex 21 for the reassurance. I got a little singed by the Gold smashdown in April 2013. Hence my caution. Long-term however, there is no doubt that gold, silver and PMs are heading for the ionosphere. Current example courtesy of The Silver Bear Cafe website -- Ukrainian Hyrvnia Vs Gold;
