How many brokers have you tried and tested before you find the broker(s) you use and trust?

Oanda.

One, Alpari UK. Subsequently tried others that either offered no performance increase, somehow felt less trustworthy or delivered an outright bad service. The lesson seems to be to go for the one you find a lot of positive feedback on from as many different sources as possible - rather than the one touted as 'best for maximum profit'.

Sounds like some of you had a great first choice. That's good. I changed brokers a few times until I found PaxForex. I am really happy with them. I checked out Oanda but did not like them to be honest. Alpari was on my short-list a few months ago. They seem to be good from what I have heard, but don't have any personal experience with them.

I'm still trading with the first one as I have done the right choice from the begining (FXCM). Then I opened 2 anothers accounts to check it out. In my opinions, brokers who want to give you 100% (or so) bonus on your first deposit is to AVOID.

I would disagree. My primary forex broker gave me 100% first deposit bonus and I have been happy with them ever since. They have never pulled any gimmick, stayed out of my way, have very few requotes and almost no slippage. They simply offered the bonus as an incentive to give them a try.

I think a broker is only good until it proves otherwise. It takes only one bad experience to go look for a different broker.

You don't have to see the point.

My first broker is my current. Actually my experience in trading is quite small - I trade less than year... So I just keep on searching... By now I have quite good spread, great support team and the broker with a good reputation... The most important thing for me is fast withdrawing. It's actually automated.

Support and easy withdrawal and deposit of funds should be the three things no top of the list.

Yes, sounds good. I would recommend that you stay with the broker that makes you happy and satisfies what you are looking for. There is no need to change away from a broker you like trading with. As we say, if it's not broke don't fix it :)

Yes, I agree. I would add spreads and lack of re-quotes as well as slippage to make it a top six list.

Good point :) But what do you think about people who trades with a few brokers in the same time? Does it have any reason (like having by some brokers special conditions, which are not available by another's - like PAMM for example)?

Well, I think it is normal to trade with more than one broker. Most of the time all brokers a trader uses have similar conditions and are used for different strategies or other preferences by the trader.

yeah you may be right... I just think that`s hard to handle not the only one strategy, because you must be good in a lot of issues)
