Seems to be a good system, why is this displayed in DEMO mode and not funded with real money?

The Forex Hacked developer recommended settings and lot sizes are suicidal IMHO. I noticed much lower DD with PS 21, Bst 1.7. I was originally running with max orders 12 but reduced this to 9. The only other thing I am doing which most do not is I have allowTrending on which will cause Hacked to dump the entire basket at a loss if things get too hairy. That is why you see the occasional day (5 so far on this account) that closed at a loss. No way 3K is enough even at 0.01 lots. I am using 5K per micro and have been getting good results. There are a number of people on Pipcop that are also using these settings on live accounts...
Enjoy the process

In this case, backtests via MT4 is non-sense.
You work with a static moneymanagement. For a meaningful backtest you have to adapt the start lot. As Rick do in a Live-Demo. (every 5k + 0,01).
that's why i did several backtests with different lotsizes -> https://bt.hmja.de/ <- to find the max dd for each lotsize in the past 3 years. so i know for every lotsizie the balance i need.
my conclusion: on audnzd i need for every increase of 0.01 an amount of ~ 3k €.
why?:
0.02 lot - max dd: 4.325€ (required balance: 6k€, to be safe)
-> https://bt.hmja.de/forexhacked_gom_AUDNZD_20090501-20120430_maxtrades11_0.02lot.htm
0.03 lot - max dd: 6.587€ (required balance: 9k€, to be safe)
-> https://bt.hmja.de/forexhacked_gom_AUDNZD_20090501-20120430_maxtrades11_0.03lot.htm
...
0.05 lot - max dd: 10.883€ (required balance: 15k€, to be safe)
-> https://bt.hmja.de/forexhacked_gom_AUDNZD_20090501-20120430_maxtrades11_0.05lot_14k.htm
...
0.10 lot - max dd: 21.928€ (required balance: 30k€, to be safe)
-> https://bt.hmja.de/forexhacked_gom_AUDNZD_20090501-20120430_maxtrades11_0.1lot.htm
and so on...
so i increase the lotsize by 0.01 every 3k€, my account is growing.
if i made some mistake in my thinking, then please let me know.
and now compare this to cable:
0.01 lot - max dd in the past 3 years: 19.274€ (required balance: 25k€, to be safe)
-> https://bt.hmja.de/forexhacked_gom_20090501-20120430_smereka-settings.htm
so for a lotsize of only 0.01 i need a balance of ~25k to survive the highest dd over the last 3 years. what the fuck?!
Laurent posted:
To result from this case, you also see that you never be sure, if you start in a drawdown phase. As we see in the backtest, you must have, by working with a static lot size, at least 50k to survival the dd.
relating to cable: yes. that's why i don't use it.
That's a good test, makes much more sense then any other tests I've seen.
Have you done the same test using GBP/USD? What about version 2.5 default settings?

these tests are old, i used a fixed spread of 4 pips. in the meantime i purchased birt's tickdata suite and can use realspread in my backtests now. with those, the audnzd tests don't look so good anymore.
yes, i also tested cable with rick's settings and what i can tell is, the myth about 0.01 for each 5k $ is nonsense. the maximum dd with 0.01 was around 19k $ (or €? not sure), but in a period, BEFORE rick started his demo. this situation can happen again at anytime.
of course, the information from the backtests are not carved in stone, some conditions in live trading can change everything.. spread widening during news, slippage, etc. and FH is an EA, which is not trading based on signals, it's trading 'all in' all the time, stupid in both directions. the integrated indicator is... ***. so it also depends on WHEN u started the EA, the entry is different on every account.
keeping all these things in mind, the backtests of FH are never 100% accurate, but they give a good picture, what could happen, IF...
and they give a good advice, which lotsize i can use for which account-size.

Snowy,
version 2.5 default settings:
pip starter: 31
take profit: 45
booster: 1.7
and apparently V2.5 has new algorithms
How do I control the DD? V2.5 does have a mass hedging setting but by default it's off and I don't use it. I increased my leverage up from 100X to 400X and I don't keep all my funds in the account, that way if I see my margin is getting to high I can just deposit more funds. I'm far from where I want to be as far as risk is concerned. According to the new F.H. risk calculator I need about 65k in my account...

hi,
how do you control the dd if may ask
