@JTCarcil Yes, you can subscribe. It won’t interfere with our strategy but please keep in mind that if you use the same account, having drawdown the same time in both strategies exposes your risk of losing.

Hi all,

I decide to share with you my account opened on May the 22th with NCM Signals.

https://www.myfxbook.com/members/ikkoku/ncm-gianluca/6515574

I start with risk settled at 100% but step by step, after two weeks I increased it to 200%.

The system open trades only in the evening from Monday to Thursday so the timeframe is very small and it's easy to take the daily swap because all the trades are opened close to the end of the trading day.

The system works quite good, the only thing is that (IMHO) working with the trailing stops will grant better results because very often, during my first and a half month, positions in trend are closed too fast, renouncing some much better results (as famous traders say... Take care of losses and let profits run).

No withdrawal made at the moment and a very easy procedure to open and deposit money to the broker.

I will update my review during the next few months or if something really interesting will happen.

PS: sorry for my english...

I must agree here with the point about trailing stop. I am invested as well and I see that many times it goes into the 'right' direction and with a trailing stop the profit could be much higher without risking anything more.

Is there any room for adjustments @NCM ?

Yes. Look, for example at today trades... Night position opened and turned bad, the second one buy trade opened in the early morning (sum of possible loss -130 eur on my account -maybe something more-) and after few hours, when the market moves in the right direction, instant close with small gain (9 eur on my account). Ok, cool because we not registered a loss, but with a trailing stop at '0' we had the possibility of take the next movement of around 30 pips and, in a bad scenario, close the trade to zero.

The nice thing will be to know if there are some platform issues that not permit to work with TP or SL with managed account.

NCM? Any info from you? It's not a complain... It's only a 'trader to trader' chat...

Many thanks, Gianluca.

Yeah the move up was huge. I checked the 5 min candles with a trailing stop we would have make much more out of this situation.

I want to subscribe using an account on the same server as the trading account.
Which ICM server are you on?

Glad to see your discussion about this topic and sorry for the late input from us.
We usually have test accounts next to the master account with different settings including trailing stop as well. In the long run, there is no significant difference with and without trailing stop. The difference is fewer profits when only one trade opened, but the little discrepancy is about to recover when more trades are involved. But to keep profitable in the long run having multiple positions opened is not the ideal situation. With more positions opened we also have to take into consideration the number of all trades on all accounts and the possible broker issues.
No pain no gain

@icmfund,
I notice that the loss rate increases substantially once trade duration goes past ~10hrs.
Have you modeled automatically closing trades after a set period?
https://strategyquant.com/quantanalyzer/ may be of help with testing this. 😉

It’s true and it’s normal with this strategy. They close the trade fast if the market move in the right direction. If market moves against the trade they wait and try to recover with another position of the same size. Look at the history and you will see always a loss and a gain close at the same time. It’s something like a compensation.

it starts to get critical only when price is dropping into one direction big time without deeper pullbacks

Exactly. Something like today’s movement into the short field. Then a pullback that permit to close the deeper bloody long position opened last night.

Yes, I also thought it was just a bot though they also respond in the same thread. It's a bot/human hybrid chat.. 😁

like this yesterday where the pullback is shorter than this or a longer shorter candle and it will burn.
im thinking to reduce the risk in order to sit out longer dropdowns. where did you put your risk at?

also I'm not understanding yet the function behind taking a long or short trade.
from technical point of view, i would never enter the long there as it was going against huge resistance and then dropped as we saw.
