Hi

Sorry for delay. To get the answers sooner you can contact our support service.

1 - The max number of open positions is 2. This EA uses emergency stop loss. It's 200 pips from the first position. The second position stop loss is not 200 pips. Let say the EA open a buy position with 10 pips TP and 200 pips SL and the market goes against the trade in about 100 pips and the EA opens another trade with the same stop loss price as the first position and close both positions in profit or SL point. Please notice that the second position distance is not fixed. It depends on the market conditions. Also the EA may close both positions before SL point.

When the market moves fast in the opposite direction right after opening the position the EA wait for 1 hour at least and then consider the second trade.

2 - We try our best to improve the strategy as the market behavior changes.

3 - You are right. This may happens sometimes because difference between brokers tick data. In these situations the EA closes the clients trades as soon as our position be closed.

Hi sPhantom,

Can I ask, what will happen the first time the EA hit SL? If 10 pips TP equal to 2.5% gain, does it means the EA will lose 50% the first time it hit 200 pips SL?
Wait for it

yep, you are right. 200pips = 50%
more then this... because the EA can open a second trade with the same emergency SL.... it will be more than 50%
maybe 75 or 80%...

@borncoprp I had the same problem yesterday (I use vps on hotforex): sPhantom has set the TP, then the price was touched (exceeding of 2 pips) but the order was not executed. I believe it is not a problem of the EA because the TP are pending orders already sent to the broker and it is the broker's resposnbility to execute them... this unless you have hidden TP and SL setting, in that case it is EA's fault. Please anybody correct me if I'm wrong.

@sPhantom only now I read your statement n.3, but yesterday I was exactly in that situation and didn't work:
TP set by the EA, touched and passed by 2 pips but my broker didn't close the trade. Of course it is also their fault, but the trade was not closed by the EA as you said and the trade was open for several hours more until the TP has been fortunately hit again.
Can you please clarify if it is a bug or the EA doesn't really act in the way you describe in the stament before?
Of course I will write now to your customer service, but I guess this can be interesting for everybody here.

yeah, could be a problem for sure!!!
the EA can be certainly changed to close the trades itself when the profit target is reached but the trade not closed by the broker.
well... a safe close...

but if the broker don't close the trade, for sure you have a problem with the broker!!!!
check the logs, maybe there is a good reason for this

I also had the same problem, there were two orders opened yesterday and the price touched the TP but the orders weren't closed, and I also using Hotforex broker , so now I understand the problem with the broker and this could be big disaster from big company like Hotforex

Yea, like the spread was 3 pips, not 2.

Guys, the broker certainly has its own responsability and I'm waiting for their answer, which if not satisying might be posted on FPA as well. But here the point is with sPhantom: is it true that this EA closes the trades even if the broker doesn't, like they just said?? I start to see I am not alone and this might be an issue that deserves attention from sPhantom. Anyway I sent them a mail, let's see the answer.

Trades don't close when they touch the TP line. You're not accounting for the bid/ask spread. You have to go through the line by the amount of the spread, to get your price. Additionally, spreads vary between brokers. sPhantoms broker may be printing a 1.5 pips spread and you maybe trading with someone that has a 2 pip minimum spread. Spreads vary widely between brokers.

Ken, I've checked the log and my TP was 1.37571 while my MT4 has hit a low=1.37558, which means 1.3 pips difference and in my fix account the spread is fixed at 1.8 pips. So this may explain the broker issue. But let's come back to our sPhantom: why in that moment it closed the trade in its account and not in our MT4?
