I was hoping to ride the gold and silver train a little longer, but it seems Dollar is gaining again and gold is dropping. I really wished silver would become mainstream, that would be a brand new opportunity for everyone.

USOIL price dropped today. Gold and silver dropped in value too. Its nice to see market stabilizing after such a bullish run. USOIL dropped because to of the US-Iran peace talk. If the talks is successful, maybe we can see a better stable market for gold and oil.

First understand which strategy is used for what trading. Not every strategy is best for that particular type of trading. For example, day trading, scalping, swinging etc. Commodity traders uses different strategy while forex traders uses different kind. So, first chose what kind of trader you want to be, then research what is the best strategy to use. Lastly, try to master that particular strategy. This is how you stick to a plan in my opinion.

I learned most of my forex basics online. Educational tutorials videos helped a lot with understanding concepts like pairs, pips, and market sessions, while forum discussions and blogs filled in the practical gaps and real trader experiences. I also went through a few free forex basics courses on SureshotFX, which were useful for structuring everything I’d picked up randomly. After that, I spent time trading on a demo account to get a real feel for how the market moves, practice entries and exits, and understand emotions—without risking real money.

Personally, I think scalping is for absolute professional who has been in the game for long time. I don't think new traders or casual traders think about scalping.

I agree, but I lean towards gold and silver rather than crude oil and other commodities. Gold is more stable that crude oil prices and the recent situation made the gold prices break historic records, all time high. Demo account is definitely the way to go before you start the actual trading. Trends can be tricky and understanding the volatility before investing actual money makes sense.

Well, you have to try different sources to find whichever best suits for you. I have tried several different sources. If you are interested in learning the basics of trading, you can try sureshotfx. They have some interesting educational blogs and a free learning section for newbie traders. If you want to succeed in the world of trading, understanding the basics is a must and cannot be step aside for anything else.

I also agree with this statement. You got to have discipline when you are serious about learning to trade. Always check your calculations, try to understand the pattern and the market, before jumping in.
