LivenFX,No, you can run the trailing EA on any timeframe you please from M1 to Monthly. However, if you use the trail decay function, this is affected by time frame. If you set Wait_Bars to 90, it will be 90 minutes on the M1 and 3 months on the Daily chart, so be aware of that.

ksnikos2000,I will be doing that in another update, probably in the next 2 weeks as it seems to be a common request.Just to mirror FGB's comment.....test this thoroughly on demo as there is no telling how the target EA will react. Most times there should be no real problem but if the EA assesses its trades in terms of a basket of trades and you remove one or two trades, the EA may respond unpredictably. Also if the EA actively manages trades, there could be a continuous fight to change the stoploss, which will fill up your trade thread with hundreds of modify orders.....it would also fill ...

Hi Raymond,I am not sure how FGB would deal with the remaining trades as I don't know the internal logic. Presumably it will exit the remaining trades via its own stoploss. The EA will work ECN and also 4/5 digit brokers. I am working on an updated version that provides more useful screen feedback to the user. Unfortunately its a bitch to debug. I also hope to have the NewsBlocker EA ready in the next few days.

Rob, You make an excellent point. I will have to cater for that. Perhaps I will get the trailing stop EA to manage the overall stoploss. It can also place a TP for the trade.It will also include an option to close a trade x minutes before a high impact news event(medium as well if desired).

Good news guys, in the next day or two I will post an EA that I have created that will read the FF calendar and then disable trading on FGB(or any EA you desire, for that matter), for a user defined period before and after the news event.😁😎

pompealp,Nope, you can't run more that 1 EA on a chart. You need to run this EA on a new EURUSD chart(M15), so your platform will have 2 charts open, 1 running FGB and one running the trail. In the trail EA, set the magic number to be the same as that for FGB.In the settings, there is one called Trail_Start......use this to tell the EA at what number of pips to start trailing. The EA corrects for 4 & 5 digit brokers. If you are worried about the effectiveness of the trail set the Trail_Start to a relatively large number, like 25 pips.....at least that will allow some trades a lot of ro...

pompealp,The EA is designed to trail at 50% of profit up to a maximum as defined by the user. Given that this represents a 50% loss of profit for any given trade, I decided to incorporate the trail decay, that simply reduces the trail by x number of pips each bar, down to a minimum trail which is half the 14 day ATR(or typically around 3 - 5 pips)I am not going to comment on the effectiveness of this using this trail, that is for each person to decide and possibly share results. In fact looking at it, the whole BarCount line just does not make any sense at all. You are calculating the daily ATR value and then using that as a number of bars that you need to count back to get the highest and lowest values in a timeseries array?Your BarCount used in iHighest(iLowest) must be an integer??

Matter of opinion guys. I am not after that massive trade. I am after more consistent performance, and a specific peeve of mine is winners that are allowed to turn into losers in the name of giving the trade space to breath.Nevertheless, I will be testing my own trailing stop manager this week. When I am happy with it, I will make it available to those that wish to use it.

Hi John,I do mainly asian scalping and I have found that the filtered price feed from instant execution brokers don't work so well. Maybe that has changed in the last year or so but I have found a couple of market execution brokers that work well and I have never felt the need to look back.The price feed from STP/ECN brokers tend to be more 'raw' and scalpers like this. If you have any doubts about the levels of filtering, have a look at what happens to price feeds at rollover time(5pm EST) and you will get the picture. Compare that with a broker like Jade where you can experience ...
