that's a good one ;)

I have been with IC for almost a year now, I am with their Ctrader platform. So far, fast withdrawals and reliable customer support. If you're a newbie and reading this review. Disregard the slippages error, 1 thing that could contribute to it is your own personal internet connection.

Just got a warning from ICMarkets that my EA generated too many server messages .. I have since modified the EA (to handle blocks of data) however didnt have the same from Axitrader - same bots on both brokers. The positive is that ICMarkets are pro-active in keeping the use of MT4 within their guidelines, the negative is that my EA can be configured to 10 times the recommended guideline of 2000 server messages per day - which this might limit my attempt at medium to high freq retail trading.
Also Go Markets doesnt have this problem either ;-)
Finally the spreads seem good for IC Markets .. just keeping an eye on the slippage - nothing yet though ..

This doesn't make sense at all. You should contact their support. I never had any issues with this broker and have had excellent customer service. Definitely have them look into this trade. Your activation price is 10+ pips higher than the price at that time. The spread on the USDCAD is usually 1 pip.
Now if you look at the 1 min candle that day at 15:30 broker time (8:30 am est time), it was an obvious news announcement and you would have got triggered at the 1st availbable price with any broker on a stop order. That available price at that time was right there at 1.273. Your time says 21:29:58 and if that time in your time zone is 8:29:58 NY time, you got triggered based on the available price at that time. Not trying to sound like a broker but it is true that when news takes place, the spreads widen and slippage is massive. This is true for any broker.

excellent broker we have group of friends and make more than 200K profit and withdraw it without any problem

I'm trading with them, and so far I'm extremely happy. Not a single problem whatsoever, and the customer support is the best I've had so far. The only complaint I have is that the spreads are somewhat crazy on some currency pairs around midnight. For example the EURCHF has around 10-15 points spread, and I've witnessed it to reach 300 from midnight (GMT+3) to 00:15, then started to lower. This can put at stake some of your trades. That's annoying. The rest is pefect, at least to my taste.

Stay away from IC Markets.
I read plenty of reviews and still decided to go with them. Big mistake.
I put straddle trade on GBP/NZD for interest rate announcement.
I had
1. Buy stop at 1.7885 and
2. Sell stop at 1.7840
with both stops at 1.7860.
at the announcement price plunged although my long order was triggered and closed at 1.7860 even though price went no where near the entry order price.
The short order was also triggered as you would expect but with 14 pips slippage at 1.782620
and CLOSED OUT at 1.7873 even though price was still falling.
The times on the order tickets were about 1 sec apart so they basically just closed my orders and took my money.
It is impossible that the short order could be stopped out 50 pips above the entry price in a falling market.
Now maybe this wasn't the wisest trade decision but they just outright robbed me.
Whatever excuse they have, it's not good enough.
I believe the term IC Bucket Shop will become well known in the Forex world.
I know that most all brokers are there to take your money but this is straight up robbery.
Stay away from IC Markets. They are super shady and their so called super tight spreadfs aren't tight at all because the trade can go 2 to 5 pips in your favour and still be negative.
They run a slippery algorithm on their MT5 platform anyway.
So. I have an account with OANDA and am now going to trade with them and close my account with IC Bucket Shop.
I suggest that anyone who has an account with them do the same before they rob you blind.

What a trading environment! The best broker in the industry! Delighted to have live accounts with ICM! Thank you!

This broker blocked me because I found a good robot

I see sometimes a slippage of 30 points on EURUSD even when there is no volatile news; This is really unacceptable and I'm very dissapointed in this broker.

I was with pepperstone. I was getting frustrated and decided to leave. Since a month I'm at IcMarkets, it is truelly way better!
I currently moved about 9 of my accounts over at IcMarkets. No nasty re-quotes, or gaps or any other weird surprises!
I'm happy I moved over to IC Markets 😄

Satisfied with this broker, fast & reliable helpdesk, good executions and spreads.

Could you send me some proves of your claim. I would like to confront IC Markets with this as I am also using an EA, which generates some small profits. Thank you

Although ICM is not a ""classic bucket-shop"" broker, it is definitely a ""B-booking"" broker (i.e. betting against traders) skinning small retail accounts with their nasty ""virtual dealer plug-ins"" parasite software (as 95% of brokers do by the way).
I have hard evidence of it by running the same exact EA - on the same exact CNS VPS - on an ICM ""TrueECN"" (yeah, right, what a name...) account and on an ECNpro account at an FCA regulated London based pure DMA/STP broker. The difference is striking: the ICM account has closed December is LOSS and the other one in PROFIT.
Same EA, same settings, different brokers...

Hi there,
I have been with ICMarkets for a year and I can honestly say that this broker is legit.
I really had no issue with them except one time the spread widened for a 100 pips on EUR/CHF after the close of NY and I had a trade open so it stopped me out. That doesn't happen normally, not that wide of spread I mean. Right before and after the NY close spreads widen because of the low volume so if you are a swing trader I would make sure that your stop is not too tight around the close of the NY. When I am in position I temporary manually remove my stop during that time and put it back when volume comes back which doesn't take too long. If you are a day trader than you shouldn't be trading around that time anyways. I take both swing and day trades and I use the MT4 platform and it works flawless, never had any requote.
Hope this helps.
Happy stressfree trading!

My tests showed good results in terms of spread, even during news. This broker seems to be among the best ones in the market. I am not quite sure if they are market makers or not, though. Maybe it depends on the account you open with them...
